A 24-hour strike on Wednesday by employees of the Brazilian consulates throughout the United States has produced lingering and undefined issues in several cities which may create disruptions to visa processing. CIBT employees will continue to visit the Consulates daily in order to obtain the most current information and determine when normal operations will resume in the affected cities.
As of Thursday morning, we can advise of the following:
- New York remains closed with unspecified re-opening - Houston closed with plans to re-open on Friday, June 22 - Washington D.C. Open - Miami Open - Atlanta Open - Chicago Open - Los Angeles Open - San Francisco Open
As this is an evolving situation, we ask that you allow extra time for the visa application process.
