U.S.: Delays reported at Atlanta airport as winter storm hits

The FAA's Air Traffic Control System Command Center on Tuesday reported the following:

Due to weather/snow-ice, there is a Traffic Management Program in effect for traffic arriving The William B Hartsfield International Airport, Atlanta, GA (ATL). This is causing some arriving flights to be delayed an average of 5 hours and 25 minutes. Because a traffic management program is delaying some arriving flights, departing flight schedules may be affected.

Passengers planning to fly into or out of the affected airport should contact their airline in advance of departure to confirm flight status.
