General Strike in Greece Disrupts Travel June 29, 2010 BCD Travel

A general transportation strike being held in major Greece cities has indeed disrupted travel. Greece’s main airlines grounded nearly 50 of today’s domestic flights; rail access to Athens airport was also impeded. Today’s general strike is the second to be held here in a week as demonstrators continue to protest a mandated austerity program.
