Aviation officials report more than 80 international and domestic flights were cancelled and 110 flights were delayed when air traffic controllers joined today’s general transportation strike in Greece.
Thousands have been left stranded as planes, trains and ferries came to a halt in a new protest against austerity spending. Travel disruptions have also occurred in Portugal; however, they have been primarily limited to train passage.
