Typhoon Conson came ashore on the east coast of Luzon on Tuesday night and pummeled Manila for two hours. More than half of the main northern island of Luzon, which includes Manila, was without electricity. Authorities report it will take two to three days to restore power.
Several dozen flights were canceled in Manila. Future delays and/or cancellations are currently unknown.
The storm is expected to make landfall again later this week in China, west of Macau.
We will continue to monitor this situation and will contact travelers directly if any of their flights are affected.
