At the airport, travelers should allow for more time prior to departure and be aware the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) Security Checkpoint process has implemented procedures to reduce direct contact, increase social distancing and allow personal hand sanitizer.

All major airlines have a face covering policy and travelers are highly encouraged to bring their own. Additionally, the passenger experience is different from the implementation of new boarding procedures, changes to in-flight service and the deplaning process. Travelers are encouraged to review the specific information provided by each airline they are flying.


Car Rental

Most major car rental providers have implemented new sanitation standards for their vehicles as well as cleanliness and distancing practices for airport shuttles and branch locations.


Hotels and Lodging

The majority of major hotel chains have introduced new cleaning and social distancing standards, such as Marriott, Hilton and IHG. Additionally, the CDC has provided recommendations on hotel travel.

Prior to departure, travelers should be aware various hotel services such as fitness centers, some public areas and food service – including breakfast availability – may be closed or modified.
