With a never-ending drive to provide an enhanced customer experience, Fox World Travel announces the promotion of Mia Beltran to director of customer experience. Beltran transitions into this role with a wealth of experience focusing on the needs of the customer.
In her nearly four years working as Fox’s brand manager, Beltran worked to develop a culture of customer-centricity. She led Fox through the 2016 rebranding effort and the implementation of net promoter score (NPS), which offers insight into the journey of travelers and identifies where Fox can actualize improvements. “With NPS, Fox utilizes the voice of the traveler to focus our improvements and elevate the customer experience. Items on our technology and operational road map came directly from a combination of traveler voice and journey mapping initiatives,” said Beth Marino, chief experience officer.
Focusing solely on customer experience, Beltran is responsible for managing, delivering and elevating Fox’s customer experience strategy, as well as sharing voice of customer research insights to create an enduring brand representation that drives customer advocacy. She will work with leaders and partners to map customer journeys that provide insight into improving the Fox experience.
“As an organization, Fox has been so receptive to formalizing their focus on the needs of the customer,” says Beltran. “I’ve been able to build on the foundation already created to drive strategic, technology and operational change designed to create customer loyalty.”
In her new role as director of customer experience, Beltran will report to Beth Marino, chief experience officer.
Fox World Travel will continue its focus on providing travel managers the skills and insights needed to succeed through its industry-leading, Fox Professional Travel Certification (formerly Travel Manager Institute). The program is designed to help travel professionals from various backgrounds and experience levels keep pace with an ever-changing and sometimes complicated industry.
Fox World Travel vacation travel consultants Allison Davis (Oshkosh) and Sarah Timmers (Appleton) were two of only 36 selected Signature Travel Network agents to attend the G’Day USA event in January due to their potential to grow our partnership with Signature through luxury travel.
“Fox World Travel’s expertise in long haul destinations including Europe and Asia made us a perfect match to send associates to this special gala,” said Julie Durham, Fox vice president of vacation travel. “Fox specifically chose Alison and Sarah because of their strong performance as advisors and their potential to educate clients on everything Australia.”
Our Fox Stars represented Fox in learning about some of the best destinations Australia has to offer, during a day that was dedicated to all things Australia. While enjoying authentic Aussie cuisine, the two also had the chance to network with employees of Tourism Australia, Qantas and more.
“Having the opportunity to talk to and learn from so many special Tourism Australia and Signature Experiences of Australia representatives, I was able to discover a wide range of exciting experiences that would suit almost anyone,” Davis said. “They range from golf to fishing, wildlife journeys to luxury lodging.”
After a presentation by Signature Travel Network Vice President Ignacio Maza on the Top 10 reasons to visit Australia, Davis won the grand prize giveaway in a drawing — a pair of roundtrip tickets to Australia!
If that wasn’t enough, our Fox Stars had to chance to meet a slew of celebrities who actively contribute to a positive U.S.-Australia relationship, including Liam Hemsworth and celebrity chef, Curtis Stone.
“It really meant a lot that Fox picked me to go to this Signature Event in partnership with Australia Tourism,” Timmers said. “I was able to learn about a wide variety of personal experiences we can create for our clients from private oyster eating parties to fine wines on Tasmania. The unexpected plus was meeting stars like Miley Cyrus! She actually took my phone and shot the selfie herself. I was totally star struck meeting John Travolta.”

As a group, the companies on the 2018 CMI 25 list executed more than half a million corporate meetings and nearly 8,000 incentive travel programs in 2017.
“The 2018 CMI 25 list is an extraordinary resource for corporations looking for a, experienced meeting planning partner. It allows them to get a fix on the focus, strengths, and size of these large third-parties,” said MeetingsNet Content Director Sue Hatch. “In a fast-evolving industry that demands top technology, endless creativity, and absolute attention to detail, the CMI 25 companies have found success.”
“It is an honor to be named to the CMI 25 for the seventh time. Our unwavering focus on the customer experience drives us to deliver the service, tools and technology our customers have come to expect from our incredible team at Fox World Travel meetings and incentives,” said CEO, Chip Juedes.
The CMI 25 list is published in the September 2018 issue of the MeetingsNet tablet magazine and digital edition (http://www.meetingsnet.com/digital-edition), and on www.meetingsnet.com. Company profiles include statics on business volume, top customer markets, recent company news, leadership, and more.
“We are thrilled to be recognized as one of the top 25 most influential meeting planning companies for 2018. Providing exceptional customer service is not just a goal but a way of life here at FOX and to be recognized for those efforts is truly an honor,” said Vice President of Meetings and Incentives, James Keller.
The MeetingsNet editors selected CMI 25 companies based on several factors, including the number of meetings and incentive travel programs managed in 2017 and the total number of room nights represented by those meetings and incentives. They also considered the number of full-time employees at each company, as well as the percentage of the company’s 2017 revenues that came from organizing corporate meetings and incentives versus association meetings or other sources.
