Located 123 miles north of the Arctic Circle, the Lofotens are a craggy chain of six islandsthat a possess a wild, almost Alpine grandeur. They are also home to teeming bird life: sea eagles, auks, puffins, and kittiwakes breed here, and the local eider duck is prized for its down. We’ll anchor at Gravdal for an optional tour of several of the islands.
