Fox Follow-up: Great Capitals, the Adriatic and Croatia

Guest post by Fox Tour Managers, Deb King and Kate Robinson

This Europe tour was filled with unforgettable sites, exquisite cuisine and rich history from multiple regions of Europe.

From the Strauss & Mozart landmarks in Vienna to the many cathedrals, cafes, sculptures and unique parks in Maribor, Ljubljana and Zagreb — this tour was truly the experience of a lifetime. We had the opportunity to experience a farm to table dinner that was delicious to say the least. We also indulged in an authentic Croatian cuisine at a konoba (a home-like restaurant where they serve traditional dishes).

We later visited Split, Lake Bled and the Plitvice National Park before heading to Sarajevo, Bosnia and the incredible history it offers. While in Sarajevo, we had an up-close account of the toll the Bosnian war had on their people through a city tour with a survivor. We later had the pleasure of sharing a traditional meal with a family that lived through this turmoil.

We ended our tour in the walled town of Dubrovnik and walked the stone-paved streets inside the 16th-century bastions of the old town.

This group was a special one as it is hard to put into words how special the memories made on this trip are. The experiences we shared with some of our new Fox friends was something special.

Check out some of our favorite pictures below. If you would like to join Kate & Deb on a future trip, take a look at our upcoming Fox Group Vacations.
