Fox Using Technology To Elevate the Associate Experience
In true Fox fashion, we value our partnerships and our people above all else. The drive, passion and work that all our associates bring each day is unmatched. Lisa Trepanier, Director of Human Resources since 2016, is a passionate advocate for our associates and internal culture. Since she has been with Fox, she has taken the reigns and brought new processes, tools and most importantly technology to improve the associate experience.
“Investing in technology has helped allowed Fox, specifically HR, to move forward as one – shifting away from manual, time-intensive processes and allowing us to focus our efforts on serving our associates,” Trepanier said.
Payroll processing time has decreased by 50%, open enrollment by 75% and the performance review process has been cut in half. Technology has helped Fox put the human back in Human Resources, so Lisa and her team can spend their valuable time working for associates, while the technology can take care of the rest.
With over 50% of our associates working virtually across several states and within branches across Wisconsin, Fox HR is always looking for ways to build connections.
“With more time to prioritize our people, we are able to visit with associates during team days when we have remote workers at headquarters and even travel to the branches for site visits,” says Margaret Baltus, HR Generalist. “We are always excited to meet with our associates on a more personal level and create strong connections and relationships. It makes our job easier and more fulfilling, leaving the mundane tactical load to technology.”
Not only does the Fox World Travel now have the time to support deeper connections with our associates, but the work they have done with the technology has also allowed them to better measure and keep a pulse on associate sentiment.
“Not only does our technology provide an outlet for managers to evaluate associates, but it also gives associates a voice, which translates into opportunities for the organization to improve,” Trepanier said.
At the end of the day, at Fox we really are a people-first culture, from our associates to our clients. As an organization, we understand the importance of the human side of things, and we use technology to constantly find new ways to improve. Don’t just take it from us, our HR team was recognized in 2019 with an award in Innovation for HR Transformation.
