Fox World Travel Announces Commitment to Fight Human Trafficking
Demonstrating genuine care and concern not only for our Fox Family but for all of those touched by the industry is a part of who we are at Fox World Travel. It is because of this that we have decided to team up with ECPAT-USA , the nation’s leader in working to eradicate child exploitation and trafficking. Did you know that the International Labour Organization reports that there are over 40 million people living in slavery worldwide? And that one in four victims are children under the age of 18?
As part of the travel industry, our associates are in a unique position to help raise awareness and educate travelers on how to recognize potential trafficking victims. It’s been found that hotels and airlines are major channels for human trafficking.
Fox World Travel is proud to partner with ECPAT-USA and become a Code Member.
ECPAT-USA was founded in 1991 and is a member of ECPAT International, a network of organizations in more than 90 countries all working to end the commercial sexual exploitation of children. For more than 25 years, ECPAT-USA has been leading the charge to prevent child trafficking before it happens.
It is our goal to be the world’s best travel partner for all those affected by travel. We are proud to stand with ECPAT-USA and become a Code Member, alongside fellow industry leaders such as Hilton and Hyatt as well as Delta Air Lines and American Airlines, in an effort to grow a global network of organizations against these exploitations.
“Joining ECPAT is important to me because it is an example of how Fox lives out its values. We are here to exhibit love for people and travel; partnering with ECPAT-USA shows that,” said Ben Claxton, online technology manager. “This is why I am proud to work for a company like Fox, who is always finding a way to make the industry and the world a better place.”
By becoming a Code Member, Fox World Travel promises to establish policies and procedures against human trafficking and child exploitation, train our associates on how to raise awareness and assist in prevention, and actively provide information to all our travelers.
