From inclement weather to major world events, disruption is unavoidable in travel and consistently forces travelers to change or cancel their plans.
To be at the forefront of this challenge, Fox World Travel has expanded their partnership with FlightStats to include new waiver technology that will help mitigate the impact of flight disruption. Fox Waivers 3i launches July 17, to better support our travelers when the unexpected happens.
Airlines issue waivers to offer exceptions to change fees and cancellation penalties during times of significant off-schedule operations, such as severe weather events, technical problems, or labor actions. However, the current process of identifying trips that qualify for these waivers and handling them is very manual and labor-intensive.
FlightStats’s new Travel Waiver Services technology automatically matches traveler itinerary information with airline waiver information issued by Delta, American, United and Alaska Airlines—with more airlines to come—and pushes the information to Fox.
Once Fox knows which trips are eligible for waivers, the Fox Waivers 3i solution takes over. Our innovative, intuitive, and intelligent technology goes beyond the data and works with both the travelers and our operations to ensure success when flight disruptions occur.
When the time comes for airlines to issue waivers, both Fox agents and travelers will receive direct notifications from Fox, allowing for a smooth rebooking process. The instant sync of information will save travelers money by reducing change fees and make the process easier for all.
