Welcome to Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city. You will be greeted at Ted Stevens International Airport and transferred to your local hotel. This evening meet your Premier Alaska Tour Director and enjoy a Welcome Dinner in Anchorage. Overnight Anchorage.

Meals: Welcome Dinner (To participate in the Welcome Dinner, plan your arrival at the hotel no later than 5:00 PM.)

After your included Breakfast this morning, board your deluxe motorcoach for a scenic transfer south to Seward, known as the gateway to the Kenai Fjords National Park. Upon arrival in Seward you will board a comfortable marine vessel with both indoor and outdoor seating. Your 6-hour Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise (11:30 AM-5:30 PM) will take you to the face of massive glaciers that will overwhelm you. Keep your eyes open for seals, sea lions, sea otters, whales, as well as many variety of birds, including the adorable puffins. Lunch is included on board. After your cruise, transfer to your hotel and enjoy your evening at leisure. Seward is a lovely little town with excellent restaurants, many serving fresh caught halibut. Maybe visit the Alaska Sealife Center to learn about marine mammals, birds and fish in the arctic and subarctic marine ecosystems. Overnight Seward.

Breakfast will be included this morning. Today board your deluxe motorcoach for a scenic transfer to the coastal community of Homer, the Halibut fishing capital of the world. Along the way stop at the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center located in Kenai and see the incredible display of Alaskan artifacts. This evening there will be time for leisure activities and dining on own. Overnight Homer.
Hotel: Best Western Bidarka (or similar)

After your included breakfast, head down to the world-famous Homer Spit for a Dock Walk and Talk to learn about the fishing industry. This afternoon will be leisure time for optional tours such as half day fishing, kayaking in Kachemak Bay or shopping. Overnight Homer.

Breakfast will be included this morning. Today board your deluxe motorcoach for a transfer back to Anchorage. Along the way make a stop at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center to learn more about Alaska’s most iconic wildlife. A sack lunch will be provided this afternoon. Upon arrival into Anchorage enjoy an evening at leisure and an included dinner. Overnight Anchorage.

This morning transfer to the Anchorage Rail Depot where you will board your deluxe dome railcar for a scenic train ride to Denali National Park & Preserve. Breakfast will be included on the rails this morning. Travel through quaint towns, like Talkeetna, Sherman and even Honolulu! Watch for wildlife and breathtaking views of mountain passes, salmon-filled rivers and vistas from high trestles. Arrive in the Denali Park area in the afternoon. You will have the opportunity for optional tours such as Jeep & ATV tours, flightseeing, zip lining, or hiking. The Denali National Park Visitor’s Center is a great place to visit, with its huge bookstore, ranger led hikes and programs, films about the park and even a free dog-sled demonstration at Park Headquarters. Overnight Denali.

After included breakfast we travel deep into Denali National Park on our Tundra Wilderness Tour. Our driver/guide will help us search the vast wilderness for moose, caribou, Dall sheep, grizzly bear and if we’re fortunate, a close-up view of Mt Denali. Our tour will last six to eight hours, stopping for wildlife sightings and photo opportunities. You’ll gain so much insight into the animals, flora and fauna of this spectacular region. A snack box is included on the tour. There will be more time to enjoy optional excursions this evening or just relax and enjoy the fresh air, amazing views and solitude of your resort. Overnight Denali.

First, an included breakfast and then we’ll board your motorcoach for touring south to Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city. En route, enjoy a visit to Iditarod Headquarters in Wasilla, Alaska to learn all about the “Last Great Race.” We’ll visit the museum that displays photos and trophies and we’re sure there’s a gift shop too! After we arrive in Anchorage, there’s no better way to see it than a scenic city tour. We’ll take you out to Lake Hood where 190+ floatplanes take off and land daily on water “runways.” Next will be a stop at Earthquake Park to learn about the 1964 Good Friday Earthquake that shook the state for 4.5 minutes at a record 9.2 magnitude. Then we’ll make our way to Anchorage’s Historic Downtown. You will have time for lunch and some leisure time on own. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from and endless shopping. We’ll end our evening with a Farewell Dinner to share tales of the road with your travel companions and toast to a wonderful trip. Overnight Anchorage.

We’ll enjoy an included breakfast before our visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Thriving Alaska Native people and cultures are respected and valued. Your visit will take you on a journey through 10,000 years of Alaska Native history and culture through art, dance, Native Games demonstrations, exhibits, traditional Native dwellings, movies and more. Afterwards there is time on own for lunch in downtown Anchorage. This afternoon, enjoy a visit to the Anchorage Museum. Alaska's largest museum tells the real story of the North through art and design, history, science and culture. This afternoon, there is time for dinner on own before departing for the airport for your flight home.

About Your Host, Clarissa Demmon

With a Bachelor of Arts in global human geography and a minor in history, Clarissa Demmon has a passion for travel and different cultures no matter where she finds herself. Her hobbies of photography and cooking also feed into her love of travel, so on trips, she likes to take a lot of pictures in addition to trying new dishes native to her destination.

Clarissa has traveled all throughout the U.S. with some of her favorite states being Alaska, California and Nevada. She has also visited Mexico multiple times in addition to the islands of the Caribbean including Jamaica and St. Lucia. Demmon said, “Nothing is better than the crystal-clear waters, beauty and warmth of the Caribbean and its people.” When she isn’t exploring new locations, she enjoys spending time with her husband, friends and dog, as well as going to Milwaukee Brewers games and concerts as much as possible.

She finds herself fortunate to be a Tour Manager and escort Fox World Travel groups, including Alaska Fox Group Vacations in the summer and radio station groups in the winter.
