Join Christine Bellport and Fox World Travel for another adventure – this time in awesome Alaska!
Your adventure starts with a flight to Seattle followed by a historic underground tour with Beneath the Streets Tours and an overnight stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Seattle. Enjoy a walking food tour in Seattle’s famous Pike Place Market before boarding Celebrity Cruise Line’s Celebrity Solstice Alaska. It’s going to be an unforgettable 7-night Tracy Arm Fjords & Glacier Cruise. We’ll make our way up to the amazing Inside Passage and visit Alaska’s most popular ports-of-call, like Ketchikan, the Salmon Capitol of the World! Visit Juneau, the only land-locked capital in the USA! In Skagway you’ll learn about gold-rush history and the infamous scoundrels that ran the city! Get a little taste of Britain too, in the beautiful city of Victoria, British Columbia. Then it’s all about Alaska’s glaciers! As we enter stunning Tracy Arm Fjord, passing waterfalls and tree-lined cliffs, listen for the thunderous crack of calving twin Sawyer Glaciers. Join Christine Bellport for an authentic Alaskan experience that can’t be missed!
Your exciting tour begins! Fly Milwaukee direct to Seattle with Delta Airlines. Experience a historic underground tour of Seattle courtesy of Beneath the Streets Tours and enjoy a free night to explore the beautiful city of Seattle.
Beneath the Streets focuses on factual, historical information that details the birth of our city, 1890’s architecture, and several other stories including the Klondike Gold Rush, Skid Row, and the Coast Salish Peoples that first inhabited the area. Their guides participate in workshops on cultural traditions and history with special guest historians and Native Tribal members as continual professional development.
Enjoy hot breakfast at the Crowne Plaza before heading out on a guided walking food tour of Seattle’s famous Pike Place Market.
Traveling and food go hand in hand so why not satisfy your taste buds during your time in Seattle. This intimate tour will take you through the world famous Pike Place Market covering every nook and cranny with guidance from your friendly, local guide. You will be able to soak in entertaining stories about the market's intriguing history while being introduced to some small businesses that you won't come across anywhere else. Your experienced local tour guide will pick you up with your luggage at the hotel prior to your tour and drop you off at the pier to board the Celebrity Solstice for our weeklong Alaskan Adventure!
Sail-Away is at 4:00 pm, so make sure to join Christine Bellport on deck as we wave farewell to the city.
Enjoy a free day onboard to explore the ship. Dine in a wonderful selection of restaurants, perhaps relax in the Canyon Ranch SpaClub or maybe pamper yourself with a spa treatment. Be sure to find your way to the Shore Excursion Desk to book your sightseeing adventures. This evening take in the entertainment at the Solstice Theater.
You’ve never tasted Salmon so fresh. Known as the Salmon Capital of the World; Ketchikan is also the ancestral home of the Tlingit people, who have carved the world’s largest collection of totem poles. If you’re up for an adventure, take a canoe and nature trail excursion through the rain forest or a wilderness exploration followed by a sumptuous crab feast you’ll long remember. Don’t miss Creek Street for a unique shopping experience with maybe a quick stop at Dolly’s Bordello!
This morning we sail through the beautiful Tracy Arm Fjord and view the twin Sawyer glaciers. Make sure to be out on deck to listen to the sounds they make and to watch for Alaska’s bird and marine life.
We arrive in Juneau this afternoon. Our only land-locked US capital is easily walkable and has so much to offer. You’ll find a ton of shops, restaurants and a tram to the top of Mt Juneau. Juneau is probably best known for Whale Watch Cruises where humpback and orca whales, Dall's porpoises, stellar sea lions, harbor seals, and bald eagles are often sighted. Or take a hiking excursion to the only glacier within Alaska city limits, Mendenhall. We do suggest a saunter over to the Red Dog Saloon, for a little libation and some good laughs with their local entertainers!
The great Klondike Gold Rush lives on in Skagway’s charming downtown of restored 19th-century buildings and its historic railway. While visiting the city of Skagway today perhaps you’d like to take in the views from the vintage train, admire the mountains and see the 1898 trail that fortune seekers traveled on foot. The White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad runs vintage locomotives past the famously steep Chilkoot Trail and offers sweeping mountain views during its climb towards Canada. There’s much to do during your day in Skagway, including helicopter tours over glacial icefields, dog-sled adventures, zip-lining and more!
Today we’ll sail through the protected Alaska Inside Passage, truly a beautiful day! You’ll want to be out on the desk as we cruise through the complex labyrinth of fjords and bays where whales and sea lions find refuge during the summer months.
Before you start packing for our return flight home; enjoy the day relaxing and unwinding as we sail today towards Seattle. This evening we’ll dock in Victoria, the capital of British Columbia. This one-time British colony has retained much of its colonial splendor. Victoria is a seaside enclave that enjoys a temperate climate, which is great for exploring the museums, parks and golf courses. Butchart Gardens is a highlight, as are the pub-crawls!

Celebrity Solstice® is one of Celebrity’s most decorated ships. So it’s no wonder that it’s full of “firsts.” The first Lawn Club at sea. The first Hot Glass Show℠. The first cruise line to have five women, known as “the Leading Ladies℠,” redesign its staterooms. Their passion for outstanding cuisine takes the onboard dining experience to a whole new level. But luxurious staterooms and specialty restaurants are only part of this ship’s charm. Celebrity Solstice also features Canyon Ranch SpaClub® and fitness center. Pamper yourself with spa treatments or push yourself in a workout with one of our expert trainers. If only life on land were as good as life on board this exceptional vessel.
