Another highlight is your journey on the Rocky Mountaineer train from Banff to Vancouver. Depart from Milwaukee for your flight to Calgary. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel. This evening meet your traveling companions for a welcome drink. Your Tour Director will prepare you for your upcoming Canadian Rockies adventure.

This morning enjoy an orientation tour of Calgary before heading to Lake Louise. Take a leisurely Globus Local Favorite Guided Walk along the lake and hear about the area’s first settlers, some of the unique characters, and the history of this incredible setting. The rest of the day is at leisure. Enjoy a canoe excursion, stroll along the lake, or just relax at this historic Canadian resort.

SPECIAL FEATURE: Your hotel tonight is the famous Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Situated in one of the world’s most breathtaking settings, it evokes a sense of timeless beauty, warmth, intimacy, comfort, and old-world charm. This morning, cruise on Maligne Lake. The balance of the day is at leisure to enjoy your resort. Hollywood greats such as Marilyn Monroe, Robert Mitchum, and Bing Crosby were known to play a round of golf on this scenic course—and you can, too. Pamper yourself with a spa treatment or stroll the streets of Jasper with its array of specialty stores.

After breakfast, we stop at thundering Athabasca Falls before continuing onto the Columbia Icefield, a trip highlight, for a memorable ride on an Ice Explorer. Stand on 750 feet of ice and come face to face with the glaciers that feed into a Triple Continental Divide. Then, continue our sightseeing with visits to Banff National Park. Arrive in Banff, with the balance of the day at leisure.

Enjoy sightseeing including a scenic drive around Tunnel Mountain – watch for animals like elk and deer and unique landscape features like the Bow River and Falls. Later, take advantage of an optional helicopter flightseeing trip with dramatic aerial views of the Rocky Mountains and Banff or stroll the town’s colorful streets. This evening meet a Globus Local Favorite Canadian Mountie who will share stories and the history of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). There will be time for questions and answers before a chance at some great photo ops! Then, your Tour director hosts a special dinner.

This morning, board the Rocky Mountaineer and travel over the Continental Divide and along the Kicking Horse River. Westward to Shushwap Lake, then overnight in Kamloops. Tonight, enjoy free time in Kamloops.

NOTE: Kamloops properties are considered moderate 2 or 3-star hotels or motor inns. Your chosen hotel is determined by Rocky Mountaineer; however, you can rest assured that it satisfies our high standards of cleanliness and comfort.

Back aboard the Rocky Mountaineer, your journey passes through the fertile Thompson Valley and the Fraser Canyon. This afternoon arrive in Vancouver, where you will be transferred to your hotel for a 2-night stay.
