This magnificent European river cruise vacation starts in Holland’s colorful, modern capital of Amsterdam. Begin your vacation your way with a one-night stay in this beautiful city! Join us for an off-the-beaten-path guided walking tour through its cobblestone streets before embarking on your Suite Ship®. Next day, continue to explore this 700-year-old city from a unique perspective on a canal cruise along the elegant grachten. Then, sail along the Rhine River to Cologne, Germany—a 2,000-year-old city known for its Gothic-style architecture. On a guided city walk, see the famous twin-spired cathedral and explore the cobblestone streets of the Old City.
You’ll sail through the dramatic Rhine Gorge—the most beautiful stretch of the Rhine River where ancient castles stand on cliffs 400 feet above the water. In the charming wine town of Rüdesheim, enjoy a stroll through its famous cobblestone Drosselgasse lined with shops, restaurants, and lively taverns.
Along the Moselle River, stop at the picturesque town of Cochem where the Riesling grape is cultivated. Visit Reichsburg Castle, nestled among vineyards and offering breathtaking views of the town and river valley below. In Bernkastel, enjoy a guided walk and taste some of the region’s best-loved wines. Go on an excursion to historical Luxembourg City, offering unique and dramatic views as it is set on two levels—high above on straddling hills and dropping into two river valleys.

Welcome to Amsterdam! You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the afternoon on your own.

This morning enjoy breakfast and then an “Off the Beaten Path” walking tour of Amsterdam with a local guide. Later today you’ll be transferred to your ship for embarkation.

Explore the iconic waterways of Amsterdam on a Guided Canal Cruise past stately homes of the city’s “Golden Age.” Afternoon/overnight cruise to Cologne.

Prost! Celebrate in the Rhineland. Choose from the following options: Enjoy a bike ride like the locals in Cologne with your Adventure Host. Spend free time over a glass of Kölsch pale lager locally brewed for over 100 years! Overnight cruise to Rudesheim.

Eat, Drink, and Be Merry in Wine Country. En route to Rüdesheim, sail through the Rhine Gorge (a UNESCO World Heritage site). Take in the breathtaking views of ancient castles perched on cliffs 400 feet above the water and pass the legendary Rock of the Lorelei—where the mythological siren’s songs lured ill-fated sailors. Enjoy a hike with your Avalon Adventure Host through the picturesque vineyards of Rüdesheim or take a guided Tour of the incredible Mechanical Music Museum for a one-of-a-kind instrumental experience; based on your departure enjoy a local special treat. Relax on the Sky Deck of your ship while sailing through the Moselle Valley, famous for the beautiful growing villages and their vineyards. See Cochem from atop, hike up to an excellent viewpoint with your Adventure Host, or take part on a guided visit to one of the oldest mustard mills, dating back to 1810. Under the guidance of the head mustard “miller”, you’ll watch mustard being made using traditional skills, more than 200 years of savoir-faire and a recipe that has been passed down several generations. Additionally you can join a guided walk of Cochem through its half-timbered houses and winding streets. Visit the hilltop Reichsburg Castle with a bird’s eye view of the Moselle Valley. Evening/overnight cruise to Bernkastel.

Airfare: Flights are currently pending. The air-inclusive package includes air that has not yet been assigned, the identity of the carrier, which may include the carrier’s code-share partner, will be assigned and disclosed at a later date. Initial Deposit: $400.00 per person at time of booking + Fox Professional Service Fee.
Included: Above pricing is per person based on double occupancy and subject to availability. Pricing includes current air taxes and fees of $300.26 (subject to change) and a nonrefundable Fox World Travel Professional Fee of $50 per reservation. The Fox World Travel fee will be charged at the time of deposit and will show as an additional payment.
Not Included: Airline flights on land-only packages, air-imposed baggage fees, gratuities for airport porters, tour guides, motorcoach drivers, meals (other than those included in the package); optional excursions that may be offered, and any items of a personal nature. Travel insurance protection is not included but highly recommended. Ask your travel consultant about pricing and options.
Terms: Minimum of 20 travelers required for the Fox World Travel tour manager to accompany the group. In the event the minimum number is not reached, the tour may still include a professional, local guide in the destination. Hotels and Daily Itinerary are subject to change. We work vigilantly with the Suppliers to maintain integrity of the price you were originally quoted and placed on deposit. There may be certain circumstances where your vacation may be subject to a price increase prior to full payment due to a supplier or government issued surcharge. Prices will not increase after you make full payment, except for charges resulting from increases in government-imposed taxes or fees, fuel surcharges, exchange fluctuations or any combinations of these. Fox World Travel will make a reasonable attempt to contact you prior to issuing charges.
