Hertz implements late return fee
Effective October 24, 2016, Hertz© will be implementing a late return fee at U.S. corporate-owned locations.
Renters will incur a fee when a vehicle is returned more than 12 hours after the scheduled drop-off time, without proactively extending the rental prior to the scheduled return. The fee will be $12 per day, up to a maximum of 5 days ($60). If you know you will be unable to return your vehicle as scheduled, simply call Hertz, 1-800-654-4174, to update your scheduled return and avoid the fee.
The fee is being implemented to help fulfill our customers’ reservations as booked and ensure vehicle availability for all customers.
