How to Maximize Engagement at GBTA
A Guide to GBTA 2021
GBTA’s annual convention is not to be missed by those in the travel industry or looking to establish a corporate travel program. And after a year off, GBTA is back for 2021. By combining some of the most passionate, engaged minds in business travel, GBTA creates an event that is unlike any other. Not sure where to begin when creating your GBTA to-do list? Here is our guide to all things GBTA 2021.
Attend Educational Sessions
One of the best parts of the annual GBTA convention is the opportunity to learn from experts in the travel industry. With over 70 sessions to choose from, it’s possible to feel overwhelmed. Choose a few sessions that interest you as well as a couple you may know nothing about. By listing required levels of experience on their website, GBTA makes it easy for you to identify topics you may want to learn more about. All sessions are 45 minutes, making it easy to stay engaged. Here are some Fox’s top recommendations:
Do Companies Face Liability in Business Travel Related Cases?
Best practices to return to travel safely and how to support policy adherence in the post-COVID era.
Diversity & Inclusion: The car is on the road. Are we ready for the voyage?
In the wake of major social and political events, most companies have taken steps to examine diversity and inclusion in their organizations. Despite the inescapable necessity to improve efforts in the D&I space, there has yet to be a ‘silver bullet.’ Continuing down this road uncovers potential opportunities in a dynamic landscape for our employees and our travelers.
Look Beyond Your Own Data to Prove the Value of Travel
Now more than ever, it is crucial to leverage data to understand your program’s performance and prove the value of travel in your organization. If you only rely on traditional data, you’re missing information on risk, cleanliness standards, changing supplier networks and other considerations that are critical in light of COVID-19. You have to integrate other data sources to be future-fit. Join us to learn why you need a holistic understanding of your program to drive transparency, leverage, duty of care, sustainability, & traveler satisfaction.
Participate in Conference Events
Outside of educational sessions, there are several conference events. On Friday, November 19, join GBTA and American Airlines for the 3rd annual Awareness 5k Run/Walk to help raise funds to stop human trafficking with ECPAT. Enjoy a jog (or stroll) while supporting an important cause in the business travel industry. Regardless of your fitness level, take part and help us end human trafficking.
Create Connections
This is where you can get the most out of GBTA. Engage with vendors from across the globe who assist in ensuring your traveler’s journey is a seamless one. Make sure to stop and say hello at Fox’s Booth, #2208. As a long-time attendee, we are excited to engage and continue the conversation of how we evolve the way we see, listen, interact, and become involved with each other in the travel industry.
