Rose, please help. I want to go to St Maarten for our 40th anniversary but my wife is too skeptical without your professional assurance that it’s a beautiful, safe, fun destination. Please confirm, thanks, Bob
Thank you for reaching out Bob. Rose will contact you directly by email to follow-up on your questions. Have a great day!
Hi Rose –
Are you still a fan of the Tryall resort in Jamaica? I remember hearing you talk about it a few years ago on WTMJ. I especially like the idea of a private chef and Club Mobay at the airport. We would like to take our family on vacation in April 2023 (6 adults, three kiddos who will be six, three and 1.5 years old by then). Any other ideas you have along this line would be appreciated. Thank you!
Good morning Rose! My wife and I are contemplating the Hawaiian Island trip scheduled for March 2023. Yhis would be our first time taking a group trip like this. The itinerary looks great. My question is are there any ‘must see’ places that are NOT covered in the trip that could be scheduled for some of the free time that is available? Also, will you be discussing this trip on your Saturday morning WTMJ radio show anytime soon? Thank you!
Hi Kevin,
Here is what Rose has to share!
Best of the Hawaiian Islands, March 6 – 16, 2023. This itinerary includes three islands, Oahu, the Big Island of Hawaii and Maui. I love this itinerary because it features so many Hawaiian highlights but also gives you free time. Day 3 is a free day on Oahu. You might consider visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center – https://www.polynesia.com/ or spend the day on the beach – https://www.gohawaii.com/islands/oahu/regions/honolulu/Waikiki. And although it might be considered “touristy”, I love to have lunch at Dukes – https://www.gohawaii.com/islands/oahu/regions/honolulu/Waikiki (insider tip, go during “off hours”).
Day 6 is a free day in Kona (if I was going to live in Hawaii, this would be my choice!). This is a fabulous town to explore; very pedestrian. If you’re looking for a more adventurous day, check this out – https://www.lovebigisland.com/kailua-kona/activities/. I’m usually “lazy” when I am in Kona but hope one day to snorkel at Kealakekua Bay – https://www.lovebigisland.com/kealakekua-bay/. Recommendation for lunch or dinner – Fish Hopper – https://www.fishhopperkona.com/
Day 9 is your free day on Maui. The itinerary on our website suggests the Road to Hana (take your Dramamine) or an excursion to Haleakala National Park; both are great options. Also, you do have some time on Day 7 to visit Lahaina, but you may want to return as this little whaling village is full of history and great restaurants!
I’m looking for recommendations in Cozumel for April 2023. Looking all inclusive with children. Thank you!

Hi Rose,
My husband and I are interesting in planning a Trip to Italy this year to Celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary and my 60th Birthday. We’d love to speak with you to get our plans underway.

Hello Rose,
We were thinking of going to Paris next year until we realized the summer Olympics
are taking place there. Would you recommend waiting until 2025? If not, would it
be better to go before or after the games?
Hello Sandy! I recommend avoiding Pairs during the Olympics due to the crowds and prices of hotels, airfare, etc. If you would still like to go in 2024, going before or after is my recommendation!
