In the most basic terms, “all-inclusive” refers to a vacation style or type of resort that includes your room accommodations plus meals and drinks, including alcoholic beverages, for one upfront price.
Many of our travelers choose an all-inclusive resort when traveling to the beautiful beaches of the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America. These resorts are a popular option because they eliminate a lot of budgeting, worry and planning during your trip. While not all destinations or resorts offer these plans, they are becoming increasingly popular.
By paying one upfront price, you can fully experience your vacation and relax and unwind at the resort. You can eat what you like, order as many drinks as you want by the pool, and never concern yourself with paying a bill throughout your stay, except for occasional “extras” such as spa services, optional or offsite excursions, souvenirs, optional tips and more.
Complete all-inclusive packages offer even more convenience and are often recommended by our Vacation Consultants, who will also search for the best flights and in-destination transfers for you. Seasonal non-stop value flights are options to consider, as well as scheduled flights. Consultants will also offer you important travel insurance recommendations to help protect your investment.
For most all-inclusive resorts, food and drink is just the start. Many resorts also include a host of other inclusions – things like daily and nightly entertainment, activities such as excursions, golf, equipment rentals, premium amenities, and more.
Most important to remember when booking an all-inclusive vacation is that the quality of the resort accommodations and inclusions vary greatly. Hotels are often rated by stars or in some cases apples (with Apple Vacations) with the basic rating being a 3-star. The higher the rating, the greater quality of service, dining options, quality of beverages and activities. Resorts offer varying types of restaurants (buffets vs. upscale ala carte dining), non-premium or premium beverages, 24-hour service, room amenities, locations, etc. Many resorts also offer different levels of service within their resort such as:
- Room upgrades
- Adults-only sections
- Quiet areas
- Family suites
- Premium clubs
- Butler Service
- And more
This is where the importance of Fox World Travel Vacation Consultant comes in.
