Travel Apps You NEED on Your Phone While Traveling!

Hi, I’m Megan, a travel advisor in our Appleton office! While you’re out and about galivanting around the world, make sure you have these five apps downloaded on your phone to not only be prepared and safe, but to also make the most out of your trip!

Google Translate

Traveling to a country where you don’t speak the language can be intimidating! Thankful, apps like Google Translate make it super easy to translate anything and everything. Not only can you type words or sentences to get translated, but you can take a photo of what you are trying to transcribe and it will translate it for you!

TimeShifter

Hate being jetlagged We do too, that’s why the TimeShifter app is a must-have for those taking long flights to Europe, Asia, and Australia. TimeShifter helps you combat jetlag by telling you when to sleep when to stay awake when to stop drinking caffeine, and so much more while you’re traveling. All you have to do is enter your trip/flight information and the app tells you what to do to best beat jetlag.

XE Currency Converter

Never worry about getting a good deal in a foreign country again! With the XE Currency Converter, you can get real-time currency rates that you can then save in the app and view offline.

WhatsApp

While you’re abroad, use the handy messaging app WhatsApp to stay in touch with friends and family back home regardless of what type of phone they have! WhatsApp uses internet connection as opposed to a SIM card making it easier for people to connect from around the world.

A Rideshare App

Whether you use Uber, Lyft, or a local version of rideshare, it’s best to have the app downloaded ahead of time so you always have a safe transportation no matter where you are in the world!
