Travelport awards Fox World Travel for accelerating success for new and current travel agents
Travelport, a leading Travel Commerce Platform, named Fox World Travel as the 2016 recipient of the Travelport Smartpoint Partner of the Year award.
Travelport recognized Fox as one of the top travel agencies in the United States and cited Fox’s Smartpoint usage to accelerate the success of new and current travel agents.
“This is an excellent example of how our technology, operations and training teams soared together to ensure we provide the best offering to our customers,” said Chip Juedes, Fox World Travel Chief Executive Officer. “It also will help us continue to meet our growth and customer satisfaction goals.”
Innovative travel technology, like Smartpoint, plays an important role in attracting and training new travel agency talent. Early on, Fox realized Smartpoint—with its intuitive graphic interface and interactive, point-and-click booking tool—reduced training time for new agents and allowed agents to focus on customer service, not cryptic commands.
“Using Travelport Smartpoint gives Fox World Travel’s agents the customer service edge needed to meet customer expectations and to help Fox World Travel continue to be one of America’s most successful companies,” said Bret Kidd, Travelport’s group vice president and managing director, Americas Sales.
With Smartpoint, Fox agents can compare fares from 400 traditional airlines and low-cost carriers quickly and easily, reducing the need to visit airline sites and ensuring that customers get the best deals every time. Agents can also access content from approximately 650,000 hotels and 36,000 car-rental locations within the same workflow, making the overall booking experience faster and more accurate for both agents and customers.
Travelport is a Travel Commerce Platform providing distribution, technology, payment, mobile and other solutions for the global travel and tourism industry. With a presence in approximately 180 countries and approximately 4,000 employees, our 2016 net revenue was over $2.3 billion.
