Xolumado Village is a tranquil, remote resort located in the tropics of Riviera Maya. Xolumado started out as an idea from famous Mexican singer, Juan Gabriel. This idea became a reality after partnering with José and Delores Martinez, owners of Karisma Resorts. Jos scouted the secluded land that is home to Xolumado and worked with Juan to build his own private paradise.
After its creation, Juan would record his music and shoot his music videos there. Oftentimes he would invite other famous celebrities to stay here, and guests would stay in the many casitas he had built around the property. Xolumado’s land was often referred to as the ranch by others due to the animals that lived there.
After Juan’s passing, José and Delores turned Juan’s paradise into a relaxing resort by adding 38 unique rooms for guests in search of complete tranquility. These new rooms circle the existing guest houses and Juan Gabriel’s house.
Currently, this 2.5-acre, AAA 4-Diamond Karisma Resort has 41 rooms that are available to book, with the option to combine two rooms and turn them into a suite. This makes for the perfect wedding venue if you wanted to rent out the entire resort for a great price. The peacefulness and tranquility combined with the natural vegetation make for a dreamlike setting for anyone’s special day.
Because all 41 cottages are unique, you can explore with your friends and family staying there and always see something new!
The resort has a restaurant and a small pool, and guests can use all facilities at the neighboring Generations Riviera Maya resort, including its award-winning dining options.
Guest rooms are simple – no private balcony or patio, with a small sitting area by the front door. The bathrooms have nice amenities, separate showers and double sinks. You’ll find all the expected room amenities including a mini bar, safe, coffee maker, etc.
In addition to weddings or a rejuvenating getaway, this resort can be used as an event space. Across the grounds, you’ll find multiple areas to hold events that are decorated with original pieces of art.
