This Fox World Travel custom tour is packed with incredible sights, unique venues, and tours, as well as incredible battlefields and museums from WWII, and led by one of Insight vacations premier historians. This tour has something for everyone! In addition to the battlefields and museums, you will have an opportunity to see some of the most beautiful sites in Paris, including lunch in the Eiffel Tower, a trip to Giverny to see Monet’s Garden and a visit to stunning Mont-Saint-Michel. Travel through the pasture lands of Belgian Flanders to Ghent and enjoy a canal cruise in beautiful Bruges. Enjoy free time to explore on your own as well. Perhaps stop in at one of the many art museums in Paris, enjoy a coffee at a café along the Champs Elysées, or taste some of the fine beers in Belgium.

Daily Itinerary

Your journey begins in Chicago O’Hare, where you will board your overnight flight to Paris, France.

On arrival, take your one group transfer to your hotel. After checking in, enjoy time at leisure to explore the capital’s grand boulevards and world-famous landmarks. Later, meet your Travel Director and fellow guests for a Welcome Dinner with wine at a local restaurant, beginning your journey in true Parisian style.

Enjoy a Paris orientation drive as your Travel Director introduces you to the city’s most iconic sights, including the magnificent Notre Dame Cathedral and the grand façades of the Louvre. See the vast Place de la Concorde, then travel down the Champs-Élysées to Napoleon’s Arc de Triomphe. Afterwards, enjoy a leisurely Seine River cruise with lunch, gliding past many of the city’s most celebrated landmarks and offering a unique perspective of Paris from the water. This afternoon, enjoy free time to explore more of the city at your own pace, perhaps strolling along the riverbanks or relaxing at a café.

Travel along the Seine to the village of Giverny, where Claude Monet spent the last 43 years of his life. Visit his house and see its distinctive use of color, then step into the gardens that inspired many of his most famous works.

Flower beds filled with poppies, delphiniums, lupins, peonies, irises, and roses surround the famous water garden, complete with bamboo, willow and rustic bridges reflected in the lily-covered pond. Continue to the charming harbor town of Honfleur for time at leisure, before arriving in Bayeux, your base for exploring the Normandy region.

Today focuses on the key sites of the Allied landings in Normandy. See Omaha and Utah Beaches, both central to the events of June 6, 1944. Visit the Utah Beach Museum, then continue to the Airborne Museum in the town of Sainte-Mère-Église to learn about the airborne operations that supported the invasion. Spend a few reflective moments at the American Military Cemetery of Saint- Laurent before following the route of the Rangers, visiting the bunkers and the Rangers Memorial at Pointe du Hoc, a reminder of the heroism of the Rangers and the forces involved in the Normandy landings.

Visit the Pegasus Bridge Memorial, dedicated to the men of the British 6th Airborne Division who were among the first Allied troops to arrive in Normandy on the night of June 5–6, 1944. After stopping in Courseulles sur- Mer for an included lunch, travel past Juno Beach to Arromanches, where you can walk along the remains of the Mulberry floating harbors. Later, explore Normandy with Insight Choice. Choose to visit the D-Day Museum in Arromanches and see the remnants of the artificial port in the bay. Alternatively, visit the Bayeux Cathedral, an impressive example of Norman Gothic architecture.

Journey through the rolling Bocage countryside to Mont-Saint-Michel. Visit the hilltop abbey rising from the tidal sands, reached by a causeway across the wide bay and long regarded as one of France’s most remarkable landmarks.

Enjoy lunch in Cancale before continuing along the Emerald Coast to Saint- Malo, dramatically set on the Rance Estuary. With a Local Expert, visit the City of the Corsairs and walk through the Intra-Muros, the walled old town known for its narrow streets and sweeping sea views.

Depart Bayeux and travel to Dunkirk to visit the 1940 Museum. Learn about Operation Dynamo, the evacuation of Allied forces in 1940, through exhibits and original artifacts located near the historic beaches. Continue to Ypres to see the Menin Gate Memorial, dedicated to the British and Commonwealth soldiers who were killed in the Ypres Salient during World War I and whose graves are unknown. This evening, availability permitting, you dine at Brasserie Kazematten, a restaurant housed inside a former military barracks.

Hotel: Novotel Ieper Centrum Flanders Fields (or similar)

Meal: Breakfast, Dinner

Travel to Bruges, where you meet your Local Expert for a guided walk through the historic center. Visit the Market Square, dominated by the belfry of the Market Hall, and explore Burg Square with its ornate Gothic Town Hall and the Holy Blood Chapel. This afternoon, enjoy a scenic canal cruise, offering views of medieval façades, arched bridges and peaceful waterways that define this beautifully preserved city.

Cross the farmlands of Belgian Flanders to Waregem, where you visit the Flanders Field American Cemetery, the only U.S. World War I cemetery in Belgium. Walk among the white marble headstones and visit the memorial chapel honoring American soldiers who lost their lives during the Great War. Continue to Ghent, the City of Flowers, where with a Local Expert you visit St. Bavo’s Cathedral, home to Van Eyck’s masterpiece The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb and see the medieval Castle of the Counts. This evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Travel to Bastogne to visit the Mardasson Monument, dedicated to U.S. troops who died during World War II’s Battle of the Bulge, and visit the Bastogne Barracks Museum, which presents exhibits on the campaign and military life in the Ardennes. Continue to Clervaux, set in the forested hills of northern Luxembourg.

Visit the National Museum of Military History in Diekirch, tracing the course of World War II with a focus on the Battle of the Bulge. Visit the Luxembourg American Cemetery and see the grave of U.S. General George S. Patton. This evening, enjoy a Celebration Dinner with wine at a local restaurant, marking the conclusion of your journey through the historic battlefields of France, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

Important Information

Initial Deposit: $400.00 per person

Single Supplement:  $2199.00 per person

Fox Professional Fee: Package price includes a $50.00 non-refundable Professional Fee per reservation. Fee will be charged at the time of deposit and will show as an additional payment from Fox World Travel.

Final Payment: No later than January 21, 2027

Requirements: A valid US passport with a minimum validity of 6 months from date of return

Not Included: ETIAS Visa (when implemented), Airline flights on land-only packages, air-imposed baggage fees, gratuities for airport porters, tour guides, motorcoach drivers, meals (other than those included in the package), optional excursions, travel insurance, and any items of a personal nature.

Terms: Minimum number of travelers are required for the tour to operate and send a Fox World Travel tour manager to accompany the group. In the event the minimum number is not reached, the tour will operate with a professional, local guide in the destination. Hotels and daily itinerary are subject to change.

Group Air: A minimum of 10 passengers is needed for the group air. Flights are currently pending. The air-inclusive package includes air that has not yet been assigned, the identity of the carrier, which may include the carrier`s code-share partner, will be assigned and disclosed at a later date. Price includes approximate air taxes and fees. Air package pricing is subject to change until contracted due to the volatility of airfare costs. Checked luggage fees may apply. Frequent Flier miles may not be available to group air travel. Fox World Travel has no control over flight or equipment changes, seat assignments, delays, or cancellations. Airline tickets will be non-refundable once issued. Changes will be subject to a fee plus any fare difference. Additional restrictions may apply. Pricing and flight options from other cities are available upon request.

Insurance: For peace of mind, we recommend purchasing travel protection insurance. Your travel advisor can discuss options with you, including medical expense coverage, pre-existing medical condition exclusion waivers, trip cancellation, trip delay, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage and more. To cover pre-existing conditions, most policies must be purchased within 14 days of making your initial deposit. Travel protection insurance prices are based on your age and the trip cost.

Cancellation Penalties:

From date of deposit to January 21, 2027: Initial deposit of $400.00 per person + Fox Fee + applicable airline fees

January 22 to February 22, 2027: 50% package price cancellation fee + Fox Fee + applicable airline fees

February 23 to March 23, 2027: 75% package price cancellation fee + Fox Fee + applicable    airline fees

March 24, 2027, till date of departure: No refunds

Fox World Cancellation Fee of $100.00 per reservation will apply in addition to any Fox Group Vacation or vendor cancellation penalties. Air tickets are non-refundable once ticketed.

Activity Level 3 – Active

Ideal for curious, on-the-go travelers who want to experience as much as possible. Days may be full with early starts, longer walking tours, and extended periods of standing up to three hours at a time. Expect to cover up to four miles a day on varied terrain such as hills, cobblestones, and uneven streets, and be prepared to climb at least three to five flights of stairs, sometimes without handrails. Travelers should be comfortable boarding different modes of transportation and handling altitudes between 6,000 and 9,000 feet.

Mobility Guidance: Travelers with mobility assistance needs may participate, but accommodations are very limited at this level. Even with advance notice, guests must be able to walk longer distances and join sightseeing activities without mobility aids at times.

RESPONSIBILITY: We and any sponsoring organizations act only as agent for the suppliers of travel services such as airlines, hotels, car rental companies, tour operators, restaurants, sightseeing companies, entertainment providers, and cruise lines (the “Suppliers”). We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of the Suppliers that cause losses or damages arising from physical or emotional injury, property or other economic damage, consequential damages, or monetary losses, or arising from any other causes beyond our control. We reserve the right to make any changes in the itinerary deemed necessary, and also the right to decline or retain any person as a member of the Trip. If you choose to arrange your own transportation for any portion of the Trip, we are not responsible for any arrangements or associated costs should there be a change in date that requires changes or cancellation to transportation arranged by you. We are not responsible should there be any changes with vacation hosts, tour managers, or entertainment. You grant to FWT and its designated agents the right to acquire and use the audio, photographic, video and other portrayals of your image, likeness, and voice in any medium of any nature whatsoever, including the Internet, for the purpose of trade, advertising, sales, publicity or otherwise, without compensation.

We will make reasonable attempts to accommodate the special needs of disabled travelers, but we are not responsible in the event we are unable to do so nor are we responsible for any denial of services by Suppliers. The American with Disabilities Act is only applicable within the United States and facilities for disabled individuals are limited outside its borders. Most transportation services, including a touring motor coach, are not equipped with wheelchair ramps. We regret we cannot provide individual assistance to a vacation participant for walking, dining, getting on and off motor coaches and other vehicles, or other personal needs. A qualified and physically able companion must accompany travelers who need such assistance and must assume full responsibility for their well-being. Motorized scooters are unsuitable for most vacations.

We have no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of the Suppliers, unsafe conditions, health hazards, weather hazards, or climate extremes at locations to which you may travel. For information concerning possible dangers at destinations, we recommend contacting the Travel Warnings Section of the U.S. State Department at (202) 647-5225 or www.travel.state.gov. For medical information, we recommend contacting the Centers for Disease Control at (877) FYI-TRIP or www.cdc.gov/travel. You assume full and complete responsibility for checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of your destination(s), and all conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and labor or civil unrest at such destination(s). You hereby release us from all claims arising out of any problem covered in this paragraph. You agree that the courts in Winnebago County, Wisconsin will be the exclusive jurisdiction for all claims brought by you or us, and you hereby submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

We work vigilantly with the Suppliers to maintain integrity of the price you were originally quoted and placed on deposit. There may be certain circumstances where your vacation may be subject to a price increase prior to full payment due to a supplier or government issued surcharge. Prices will not increase after you make full payment, except for charges resulting from increases in government-imposed taxes or fees, fuel surcharges, exchange fluctuations or any combinations of these. Fox World Travel will make a reasonable attempt to contact you prior to issuing charges.
