Welcome to the timeless land of the Pharaohs. On arrival in Cairo, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Relax this evening and get ready for the incredible experience ahead.

Hotel: Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino (or similar)

Fly to Luxor and visit the huge temple complex of Karnak. Walk through the avenue of ram-headed sphinxes to stand among the columns of the Hypostyle Hall before transferring to your cruise ship. After lunch on board, take a walk through the Luxor Museum to admire its impressive collection of ancient artifacts. In the evening, enjoy dinner on the ship and unwind at your leisure.

A day of history awaits you today as you begin with a morning visit to the Temple of Hathor in Dendera. One of the best-preserved temples in Egypt, it contains a rare depiction of Cleopatra and her son Caesarian, whose father was Julius Caesar. At lunchtime return to your ship. Enjoy a peaceful journey via the Esna Lock to Edfu. From the sun deck watch the locals, see villages on both banks, and watch how ships pass through the lock.

You will start the day with breakfast as you cruise along the Nile to Kom Ombo and continue to the city of Aswan. Famous for its archaeological sites such as the Philae Temple Complex and the Temple of Isis, Aswan is a vibrant destination that portray an agreeable mix of ancient and contemporary Egypt. Indulge your culinary side during an Egyptian cooking demonstration or tea with the Captain for your insight Choice experience. In the evening enjoy a fun-filled Egyptian dinner and galabeya party.

Today’s sightseeing includes a visit to Aswan’s High Dam and granite quarries to see the enormous unfinished obelisk. Travel by motorboat to the Temple of Isis, rising from the waters of the Nile on the Island of Philae. Enjoy a retelling of the Nile flood and the stories of the goddesses Isis and Hathor in a Roman-style theater. The rest of the day is free to relax and enjoy the facilities, including a pool, on your cruise ship. Ask your Travel Director for recommendations on things to do onboard or perhaps ask for more insights into Egypt’s fascinating history.

Throughout your journey you will see many feluccas sailing along the Nile. Now it is your time to sail on one for yourself. On this traditional vessel, meet a local sailor who will teach you about the art of sailing this ancient craft. Visit the local women’s co-op on your MAKE TRAVEL MATTER Experience and discover how scrap materials are transformed into fine handicrafts, supporting vulnerable women in the community. As the sun starts to fade, enjoy colonial-style high tea at the historic Old Cataract Hotel, just like Winston Churchill and Agatha Christie once did before you. Round off the day with an atmospheric Sound and Light Show at Philae Island, where the temple’s illuminated façade becomes the stage for tales of Isis, Hathor, and the sacred Nile.

With the morning free, perhaps join the optional experience of travelling to the temples of Abu Simbel by air? These temples overlook Lake Nasser and are made up of the Great Temple of Ramsses II and the Temple of Hathor. Located in a village in Nubia, they are found in Upper Egypt. Later, sail to Kom Ombo to visit the only double temple of Egypt, dedicated to the two gods: the crocodile-headed Sobek and falcon-headed Horus the Elder.

Your cruise continues along the bustling waters of the Nile. Enjoy your facilities on board and have your cameras ready for the sites as you leisurely make your way to Luxor. In the evening, visit Luxor Temple, where your ship will dock for the night.

This morning, we disembark from our cruise and travel by coach to the west bank of the Nile. See the Colossi of Memnon and visit both the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Valley of the Kings, where many Pharaohs, including Hatshepsut, Amenhotep I and Tutankhamun were buried. Experience the renowned local hospitality of Egyptians during a visit to the village of Geziret Bahirat. Connect with the community and share bread with the Bahirat family whilst they regale guests with their fascinating stories of daily life. Later, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Cairo.

This morning, ascend to the Citadel, for breathtaking views over the city. While here visit the Alabaster Mosque, otherwise known as the Great Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha, regarded as the founder of modern Egypt. Continue to Tahrir Square, the focal point of the 2011 Egyptian Revolution, and the Egyptian Museum. Among the many exhibits found here, are the fabulous artefacts recovered from the tomb of King Tutankhamun

After breakfast, drive to Memphis, the famous capital of the ancient world. See the colossal statue of Ramses II and the Great Alabaster Sphinx. Continue to Sakkara, to see the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, the oldest pyramid in the world, dating back to 2700 BC. In the afternoon, continue to Giza with your Egyptologist to explore the magnificent pyramids and come face-to-face with the enigmatic Sphinx. During your visit, venture inside one of these ancient wonders to see the chambers where the pharaohs were sent to meet their Gods in the afterlife.

Activity Level 3 – Active

Ideal for curious, on-the-go travelers who want to experience as much as possible. Days may be full with early starts, longer walking tours, and extended periods of standing—up to three hours at a time. Expect to cover up to four miles a day on varied terrain such as hills, cobblestones, and uneven streets, and be prepared to climb at least three to five flights of stairs, sometimes without handrails. Travelers should be comfortable boarding different modes of transportation.

Mobility Guidance: Travelers with mobility assistance needs may participate, but accommodations are very limited at this level. Even with advance notice, guests must be able to walk longer distances and join sightseeing activities without mobility aids at times.

Requirements: Valid US passport with a minimum validity of 6 months from date of return

Tourist Visa: US citizens are required to have a tourist visa to enter Egypt, which can be purchased upon arrival in Cairo for $25.00 USD per person (subject to change)

Not Included: Egypt Visa, airline flights on land-only packages, airline luggage fees if applicable, gratuities for airport porters, tour guides, motorcoach drivers, meals (other than those included in the package), optional excursions, travel insurance and any items of a personal nature.

Terms: Minimum number of travelers required for the tour to operate and send a Fox World Travel tour manager to accompany the group. In the event the minimum number is not reached, the tour may still include a professional, local guide in destination. Hotels, experiences, and daily itinerary are subject to change.

Group Air: A minimum of 10 passengers is needed for the group air. Flights are currently pending. The air-inclusive package includes air that has not yet been assigned, the identity of the carrier, which may include the carrier`s code-share partner, will be assigned and disclosed at a later date. Price includes approximate air taxes and fees. Air package pricing is subject to change until contracted due to the volatility of airfare costs. Checked luggage fees may apply. Frequent Flier miles may not be available to group air travel. Fox World Travel has no control over flight or equipment changes, seat assignments, delays or cancellations. Airline tickets will be non-refundable once issued. Changes will be subject to a fee plus any fare difference. Additional restrictions may apply. Pricing and flight options from other cities available upon request.

Insurance: For peace of mind, we recommend purchasing travel protection insurance. Your travel advisor can discuss options with you, including medical expense coverage, pre-existing medical condition exclusion waivers, trip cancellation, trip delay, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage and more. To cover pre-existing conditions, most policies must be purchased within 14 days of making your initial deposit. Travel protection insurance prices are based on your age and the trip cost.

Cancellation Penalties:           

From date of deposit to July 7, 2027: Initial deposit of $500.00 per person + Fox Fee + applicable airline fees

July 8 – August 2, 2027: 50% package price cancellation fee + Fox Fee + applicable airline fees

August 3 – August 31, 2027: 75% package price cancellation fee + Fox Fee + applicable airline fees

September 1, 2027 to day of departure: No refunds

We reserve the right to make any changes in the itinerary deemed necessary, and also the right to decline or retain any person as a member of the Trip. If you choose to arrange your own transportation for any portion of the Trip, we are not responsible for any arrangements or associated costs should there be a change in date that requires changes or cancellation to transportation arranged by you. We are not responsible should there be any changes with vacation hosts, tour managers, or entertainment. You grant to FWT and its designated agents the right to acquire and use the audio, photographic, video and other portrayals of your image, likeness, and voice in any medium of any nature whatsoever, including the Internet, for the purpose of trade, advertising, sales, publicity or otherwise, without compensation.

We will make reasonable attempts to accommodate the special needs of disabled travelers, but we are not responsible in the event we are unable to do so nor are we responsible for any denial of services by Suppliers. The American with Disabilities Act is only applicable within the United States and facilities for disabled individuals are limited outside its borders. Most transportation services, including a touring motor coach, are not equipped with wheelchair ramps. We regret we cannot provide individual assistance to a vacation participant for walking, dining, getting on and off motor coaches and other vehicles, or other personal needs. A qualified and physically able companion must accompany travelers who need such assistance and must assume full responsibility for their well-being. Motorized scooters are unsuitable for most vacations.

We have no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of the Suppliers, unsafe conditions, health hazards, weather hazards, or climate extremes at locations to which you may travel. For medical information, we recommend contacting the Centers for Disease Control at (877) FYI-TRIP or www.cdc.gov/travel. You assume full and complete responsibility for checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of your destination(s), and all conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and labor or civil unrest at such destination(s). You hereby release us from all claims arising out of any problem covered in this paragraph. You agree that the courts in Winnebago County, Wisconsin will be the exclusive jurisdiction for all claims brought by you or us, and you hereby submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

We work vigilantly with the Suppliers to maintain integrity of the price you were originally quoted and placed on deposit. There may be certain circumstances where your vacation may be subject to a price increase prior to full payment due to a supplier or government issued surcharge. Prices will not increase after you make full payment, except for charges resulting from increases in government-imposed taxes or fees, fuel surcharges, exchange fluctuations or any combinations of these. Fox World Travel will make a reasonable attempt to contact you prior to issuing charges.
