Meeting planners can play a crucial role in spotting human trafficking and educating their attendees and suppliers. The key is to make it an ongoing effort – because the fight is far from over.

One travel management company is raising awareness about human trafficking ahead of April’s NFL Draft in Green Bay.

Fox World Travel, a TMC, has introduced a Prevent Trafficking Toolkit in collaboration with Protect All Children From Trafficking (PACT) and its Corporate Customer Advisory Board. Fox World Travel will also light up its headquarters in blue in recognition of Human Trafficking Awareness Day, recognized nationally on January 11, and to signify its commitment to the cause.

As people in our area prepare to visit friends and family for Thanksgiving, a local travel agency wants to help everyone recognize the signs of human trafficking. Fox World Travel has an online “Prevent Trafficking Toolkit” through its partnership with the organization PACT (Protect All Children from Trafficking.) The resource originated to give travel managers the tools needed to educate their business travelers on trafficking.

On a global scale about 27.6 million people are victims of some type of trafficking whether it be labor, exploitation, or sexual in nature; that statistic includes children, too.

Women continue to make their mark in corporate America – including right here in Northeast Wisconsin. One area CEO is doing what he can to support women reach whatever heights they aspire to – efforts that were recently recognized. Chip Juedes, owner and CEO of Oshkosh-based Fox World Travel, was recently awarded the 2023 Global Business Travel Association’s (GBTA) WINiT Individual Award for Best Male Mentor or Coach – for helping elevate women in business.
