Fox World Travel’s Sam Hilgendorf Named 2023 Top Technology Leader in Wisconsin
WisconsinCIO ORBIE Award honors chief information officers who demonstrate excellence in technology leadership
Fox World Travel is pleased to announce that its chief information officer (CIO), Sam Hilgendorf, has been awarded a WisconsinCIO ORBIE Award in the large corporation category in recognition of his demonstrated excellence in technology leadership.
“Sam has proven he is a visionary leader who has played a critical role in transforming Fox’s technology infrastructure to meet the ever-changing needs of the travel industry,” stated Chip Juedes, CEO of Fox World Travel. “He is passionate about innovation and is always looking for ways to leverage technology to enhance the customer experience. Sam has a unique ability to bring people together and facilitate collaboration across departments with his inclusive leadership style that empowers his team to achieve their full potential.”
Finalists and winners of the WisconsinCIO ORBIE Award are selected by an independent peer review process, led by prior ORBIE recipients. Winners are evaluated in the areas of leadership and management effectiveness, business value created by technology innovation and engagement in industry and community endeavors. In addition, Hilgendorf will be nominated to be a 2024 National ORBIE Award finalist.

Hilgendorf joined Fox in 2018. In his role, he is responsible for the vision and execution of Fox’s technology portfolio, which includes information technology (IT), travel technology, business intelligence, product development and project management. With more than 20 years of experience in the IT and professional services industry, Hilgendorf served customers across industry verticals and has a broad understanding of today’s technology landscape.
