Daily Itinerary

An exciting journey begins as you board your overnight flight to Reykjavik.

Welcome to Iceland! Upon arrival at Reykjavik’s Keflavik Airport, take your group transfer to Viking World for a hearty breakfast. Located in Reykjanesbær, Viking World is home to the impressive full-scale replica of the Íslendingur (The Icelander), a Viking ship that sailed across the Atlantic to commemorate Leif Erikson’s journey to North America. Explore the museum’s fascinating exhibits on Viking history, Norse mythology, and Icelandic heritage. After breakfast, transfer to your hotel in Reykjavik where you are free for the rest of the day. This evening, gather with your Travel Director and fellow travelers for a Welcome Reception featuring delicious canapés.

Join a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience, heading east to visit Iceland’s newest geothermal and electric power station at Hellisheiðavirkjun. Later, explore a local farm and sample their sweet-tasting, homegrown tomatoes. Meet the family to learn about Icelandic horticulture and growing the tastiest tomatoes. Continue to the hot springs at Geysir and the mighty Gullfoss waterfalls, the Icelandic equivalent of Niagara Falls. In the afternoon, visit the majestic south coast waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss before continuing to your hotel in the area of Vik.

Travel along the southern coast of Iceland, beside the black sand beaches and basalt rock formations. Continue through the National Park at Skaftafell and see the largest glacier in Europe, Vatnajökull. Travel on to the luminous blue icebergs of Lake Jökulsárlón, the highlight of the day. This dramatic setting was featured in two James Bond films. Arrive in the small harbor town of Höfn, an active lobster fishing hub. From here, your Travel Director will lead a short orientation. Dine at your hotel’s restaurant tonight and experience what the local produce has to offer.

Explore yet another face of Iceland, as you drive through narrow fjords surrounded by steep cliffs and past small fishing villages. Catch a glimpse of Papey Island, once the home of Gaelic monks who settled here before the arrival of the Vikings. Continue to the lakeside town of Egilsstaðir where upon arrival relax in the untouched nature at Iceland’s only geothermal floating pools. Vök Baths harnesses the natural geothermal power of the area to create a unique bathing experience with amazing views of the Lake Urriðavatn. The architecture of the hot springs is designed to complement the unspoiled beauty of the Icelandic environment. Continue on to your hotel for an included dinner.

Hotel: Berjaya Hérað Hotel

Continue on to the beautiful Lake Mývatn and explore a wide spectrum of geological formations. The concentrated geothermal activity produces mud pools and spectacularly colored deposits. Continue to the charming fishing village of Húsavík for some free time to enjoy lunch. Consider an Optional Experience visit of the Húsavík Whale Museum for a guided tour to learn about whales, their significance in marine ecosystems and the history of whaling in Iceland. This evening is yours to relax or explore Akureyri at your leisure.

Enjoy an orientation of Akureyri, the capital of northern Iceland, first established as a trading center in 1602. Travel past mountains, waterfalls, and green coastal regions. Later, continue to the southwest coast of Borgarnes. This evening, visit one of the oldest houses in Borgarnes and enjoy dinner at The Settlement Center restaurant, which is home to an exhibition telling the story of The Settlement Era in Iceland.

Travel along the Snæfellsnes Peninsula to Snæfellsjökull National Park, known as the Jewel of West Iceland and home to the country’s most famous volcano. See the magnificent Snæfellsjökull glacier surrounded by unspoiled natural beauty. En route, admire the impressive landscapes of Búðir, offering a mixture of sandy hills, black lava fields and a yellow beach. Next, take a stroll along the sea cliffs of Arnastapi with its unique column rock formations and take in the beautiful scenery.

Journey south to Thingvellir. This remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Site lies on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Explore Reykjavik with Insight Choice. Choose to visit the Perlan Museum with the Wonders of Iceland’s one-of-a-kind exhibition to experience Iceland´s natural beauty. Alternatively, experience the magic of Iceland on an exhilarating flight-ride at FlyOver to see incredible scenery from sweeping glaciers to stunning fjords. This afternoon, you may decide to visit the mineral-rich waters of the Blue Lagoon on our Optional Experience.

Round off your journey through one of the world’s most naturally beautiful places with a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.

Not Included: Airline flights on land-only packages, airline luggage fees if applicable, gratuities for airport porters, specialty experiences, motorcoach drivers, or meals (other than those included in the package), optional excursions, travel insurance and any items of a personal nature.

Terms: A minimum number of travelers required for the tour to operate and send a Fox World Travel tour manager to accompany the group. Group Air: A minimum of 10 passengers is needed for the group air. Flights are currently pending. The air-inclusive package includes air that has not yet been assigned, the identity of the carrier, which may include the carrier`s code-share partner, will be assigned and disclosed at a later date. Price includes approximate air taxes and fees. Air package pricing is subject to change until contracted due to the volatility of airfare costs. Checked luggage fees may apply. Frequent Flier miles may not be available to group air travel. Fox World Travel has no control over flight or equipment changes, seat assignments, delays, or cancellations. Airline tickets will be non-refundable once issued. Changes will be subject to a fee plus any fare difference. Additional restrictions may apply. Luggage: Weight and luggage type may be limited depending on aircraft type.

Insurance:  Your travel advisor can discuss options with you, including medical expense coverage, pre-existing medical condition exclusion waivers, trip cancellation, trip delay, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage and more. To cover pre-existing conditions, most policies must be purchased within 14 days of making your initial deposit. Travel protection insurance prices are based on your age and the trip cost.

May 13 – June 2, 2026: 50% package price cancellation fee + applicable airline fees

June 3 – July 9, 2026: 75% package price cancellation fee + applicable airline fees

July 10, 2026 till day of departure: No refunds

Fox World Cancellation Fee of $100.00 per reservation will apply in addition to any Fox Group Vacation or vendor cancellation penalties. Air is non-refundable once ticketed.

You grant to FWT and its designated agents the right to acquire and use the audio, photographic, video and other portrayals of your image, likeness, and voice in any medium of any nature whatsoever, including the Internet, for the purpose of trade, advertising, sales, publicity or otherwise, without compensation.

We will make reasonable attempts to accommodate the special needs of disabled travelers, but we are not responsible in the event we are unable to do so nor are we responsible for any denial of services by Suppliers. The American with Disabilities Act is only applicable within the United States and facilities for disabled individuals are limited outside its borders. Most transportation services, including a touring motor coach, are not equipped with wheelchair ramps. We regret we cannot provide individual assistance to a vacation participant for walking, dining, getting on and off motor coaches and other vehicles, or other personal needs. A qualified and physically able companion must accompany travelers who need such assistance and must assume full responsibility for their well-being. We have no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of the Suppliers, unsafe conditions, health hazards, weather hazards, or climate extremes at locations to which you may travel. For medical information, we recommend contacting the Centers for Disease Control at (877) FYI-TRIP or www.cdc.gov/travel. You assume full and complete responsibility for checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of your destination(s), and all conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and labor or civil unrest at such destination(s). You hereby release us from all claims arising out of any problem covered in this paragraph. You agree that the courts in Winnebago County, Wisconsin will be the exclusive jurisdiction for all claims brought by you or us, and you hereby submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

We work vigilantly with the Suppliers to maintain integrity of the price you were originally quoted and placed on deposit. There may be certain circumstances where your vacation may be subject to a price increase prior to full payment due to a supplier or government issued surcharge. Prices will not increase after you make full payment, except for charges resulting from increases in government-imposed taxes or fees, fuel surcharges, exchange fluctuations or any combinations of these. Fox World Travel will make a reasonable attempt to contact you prior to issuing charges.
