Welcome to Rome, a glorious city filled with Classical antiquities, medieval buildings, Renaissance palaces, and baroque churches. Upon arrival in Rome, you will be transferred to your hotel. Airport-to-hotel transfers are included, provided arrival is during normal Globus travel hours.

Discover the timeless beauty of Italy’s capital and be transported back to Ancient Rome when you join a fascinating guided walking tour of the Roman Forum, for over 1400 years it was the hub of the Roman Empire. Enjoy free time in the afternoon and evening to take in more sights and experiences.

Leave the hustle and bustle of Rome behind as you relax for a scenic drive past the olive groves and vineyards that extend over the rolling green hills of Umbria and Tuscany. Arrive in the beautiful walled town of Lucca and enjoy an orientation walk followed by free time to explore the delightful historic center. Within the walls surrounding the medieval city of Lucca, the modern world fades away. Whilst you walk, see the Piazza Anfiteatro, San Michele Square, the Roman Amphitheatre, the soaring clock tower, and the Guinigi Tower topped with a hanging garden roof – just to name a few of the impressive sights you’ll find in this historic city in Tuscany.

This morning drive to La Spezia, the starting point of your Cinque Terre adventure. Join a guided boat ride (weather permitting) to admire the dramatic scenery along the Cinque Terre coast, taking in the fascinating views of the sea, sky, and centuries old seaside villages on the rugged Italian Riviera coastline. Arrive in Monterosso, one of the 5 villages, and enjoy some free time before boarding your train to La Spezia. En-route back to Lucca, stop in Pisa to visit the Square of Miracles, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and location of one of the most recognizable monuments in the world – the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Often called the “medieval Manhattan” for its remarkable skyline, San Gimignano is a true delight. Enjoy an orientation walk before exploring the town independently, with time to browse artisan shops and sample local produce. Then relax on a scenic drive to Borgo Machiavelli in the heart of Chianti—once home to Niccolò Machiavelli, the renowned Italian philosopher and political thinker—for a wine tasting accompanied by regional specialties. Savor winemaking traditions and local flavors that have been enjoyed in these vineyards for centuries.

Florence is one of Italy’s most celebrated cities. Meet your local guide for a walk through the historic center, stopping to admire and learn more about the cathedral, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the massive bronze doors of the Baptistry’s “Gates of Paradise,” and the sculptures of Signoria Square. Explore more of Florence with your choice of Globus Choice Excursions, followed by an evening at leisure to explore more of this beautiful city.

  • Medici Heritage and Aperitivo: Discover the magnificent Pitti Palace on a guided walking tour. Admire artwork by Raffaello, Rubens, and Tiziano, as you hear stories about its former residents; once the symbol of the Medici family’s power, it was later the home of Napoleon. In recent times it was a key setting in Dan Brown’s novel “Inferno”. Stroll in the San Frediano district with your local guide and experience traditional life in Florence with an aperitivo in a local bar.

Arrive in the elegant city of Verona, rich in history, but made famous by Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers. Enjoy a stroll to admire the main squares of Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza Bra, with its pink marble Roman Arena, still used today as a concert venue. Continue to Venice Island and take a private boat ride.

Enjoy a private boat ride before meeting your local guide for a fascinating sightseeing walk. See St. Mark’s Square, with its landmark columns and Basilica and visit the ornate Doge’s Palace with the Bridge of Sighs. At a vetreria meet a local glassblower and learn how the world-famous Murano glass is created. Free time this afternoon and evening to meander through the typical Venetian “calli and campi” (alleyways and squares).

Travel through the Apennine Mountains on a scenic drive to the stunning hilltop town of Assisi, an important center for both religion and art and the birthplace of St. Francis. Meet a local guide for a walking tour of the medieval center, including visits to the Basilicas of St. Clare and St. Francis. Walk in the footsteps of St. Francis of Assisi with a visit to the Basilica named for the deacon, friar, and mystic who became one of Christianity’s most venerated figures. Revered for his love of the Eucharist and the natural world, Francis found communion with God through nature here in the village where he lived and died. Marvel at the magnificent frescoes by Italian master Giotto that adorn the Basilica where the Saint is buried.

En-route to Rome, stop in Orvieto, perched dramatically on a plug of volcanic rock and dominated by a striking cathedral. Enjoy an orientation walk to see the cathedral, plus free time to visit San Brizio Chapel or to explore Piazza del Duomo. Continue to Rome and follow your Local Guide on a guided walking tour to visit St. Peter’s Square and see the breathtaking St. Peter’s Basilica, followed by a stroll alongside the walls of the Passetto di Borgo to reach Castel Sant’Angelo for a visit of the former Papal Fortress. This evening, join your travel companions for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant in Rome.

Not Included: ETIAS Visa (when implemented), Airline flights, air-imposed baggage fees, gratuities for airport porters, tour guides, motorcoach drivers, meals (other than those included in the package), optional excursions, travel insurance and any items of a personal nature.

Terms: Minimum of travelers are required for the tour to operate and send a Fox World Travel tour manager to accompany the group. In the event the minimum number is not reached, the tour will operate with a professional, local guide in the destination. Hotels and daily itinerary are subject to change.

Insurance: For peace of mind, we recommend purchasing travel protection insurance. Your travel advisor can discuss options with you, including medical expense coverage, pre-existing medical condition exclusion waivers, trip cancellation, trip delay, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage and more. To cover pre-existing conditions, most policies must be purchased within 14 days of making your initial deposit. Travel protection insurance prices are based on your age and the trip cost.

Cancellation Penalties:

From date of deposit to July 16, 2026: Initial deposit of $400.00 per person + Fox Fee + applicable airline fees

July 17 to August 8, 2026: 50% package price cancellation fee + Fox Fee + applicable airline fees

August 9 to September 9, 2026: 75% package price cancellation fee + Fox Fee + applicable airline fees

September 10, 2026 to date of departure: No refunds

Fox World Cancellation Fee of $100.00 per reservation will apply in addition to any Fox Group Vacation or vendor cancellation penalties.

Activity Level 3 – Active:

Ideal for curious, on-the-go travelers who want to experience as much as possible. Days may be full with early starts, longer walking tours, and extended periods of standing—up to three hours at a time. Expect to cover up to four miles a day on varied terrain such as hills, cobblestones, and uneven streets, and be prepared to climb at least three to five flights of stairs, sometimes without handrails. Travelers should be comfortable boarding different modes of transportation.

Mobility Guidance: Travelers with mobility assistance needs may participate, but accommodations are very limited at this level. Even with advance notice, guests must be able to walk longer distances and join sightseeing activities without mobility aids at times.

RESPONSIBILITY: We and any sponsoring organizations act only as agent for the suppliers of travel services such as airlines, hotels, car rental companies, tour operators, restaurants, sightseeing companies, entertainment providers, and cruise lines (the “Suppliers”). We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of the Suppliers that cause losses or damages arising from physical or emotional injury, property or other economic damage, consequential damages, or monetary losses, or arising from any other causes beyond our control. We reserve the right to make any changes in the itinerary deemed necessary, and also the right to decline or retain any person as a member of the Trip. If you choose to arrange your own transportation for any portion of the Trip, we are not responsible for any arrangements or associated costs should there be a change in date that requires changes or cancellation to transportation arranged by you. We are not responsible should there be any changes with vacation hosts, tour managers, or entertainment. You grant to FWT and its designated agents the right to acquire and use the audio, photographic, video and other portrayals of your image, likeness, and voice in any medium of any nature whatsoever, including the Internet, for the purpose of trade, advertising, sales, publicity or otherwise, without compensation.

We will make reasonable attempts to accommodate the special needs of disabled travelers, but we are not responsible in the event we are unable to do so nor are we responsible for any denial of services by Suppliers. The American with Disabilities Act is only applicable within the United States and facilities for disabled individuals are limited outside its borders. Most transportation services, including a touring motor coach, are not equipped with wheelchair ramps. We regret we cannot provide individual assistance to a vacation participant for walking, dining, getting on and off motor coaches and other vehicles, or other personal needs. A qualified and physically able companion must accompany travelers who need such assistance and must assume full responsibility for their well-being. Motorized scooters are unsuitable for most vacations.

We have no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of the Suppliers, unsafe conditions, health hazards, weather hazards, or climate extremes at locations to which you may travel. For information concerning possible dangers at destinations, we recommend contacting the Travel Warnings Section of the U.S. State Department at (202) 647-5225 or www.travel.state.gov. For medical information, we recommend contacting the Centers for Disease Control at (877) FYI-TRIP or www.cdc.gov/travel. You assume full and complete responsibility for checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of your destination(s), and all conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and labor or civil unrest at such destination(s). You hereby release us from all claims arising out of any problem covered in this paragraph. You agree that the courts in Winnebago County, Wisconsin will be the exclusive jurisdiction for all claims brought by you or us, and you hereby submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

We work vigilantly with the Suppliers to maintain integrity of the price you were originally quoted and placed on deposit. There may be certain circumstances where your vacation may be subject to a price increase prior to full payment due to a supplier or government issued surcharge. Prices will not increase after you make full payment, except for charges resulting from increases in government-imposed taxes or fees, fuel surcharges, exchange fluctuations or any combinations of these. Fox World Travel will make a reasonable attempt to contact you prior to issuing charges.
