Corporate Travel Sees Continued Challenges Due to Economic Uncertainty
A recent Travel Buyer Survey conducted by Business Travel News (BTN) has revealed an increase in buyer uncertainty for the remainder of 2025. Only 31% of over 900 respondents expressed an optimistic outlook for the rest of the year. Additionally, there has been a 20% rise in the number of buyers reporting that their companies are reducing travel compared to 2024.

Delta Air Lines Continues Commitment to Seattle
Delta Air Lines has announced new non-stop service from Seattle (SEA) to Barcelona (BCN) and Rome (FCO), starting in Summer 2026. The flights to Rome will operate four times a week, while service to Barcelona will be available three times a week. Passengers will fly on the next-generation A330-900 neo, which features Delta’s premium cabin experiences.
Currently, Delta operates nearly 180 peak-day departures to over 60 global destinations from Seattle. Additionally, the airline has introduced two new premier lounges at SEA: a Delta One Lounge and an upscale Delta Sky Club.

United Airlines Mobile App Provides Passengers More Information About Connecting Flights
United Airlines has introduced new exclusive features in its app, which include enhanced functionalities such as personalized turn-by-turn directions to connecting gates, complete with estimated walking times.
Additionally, the app provides real-time flight status updates, tips for longer layovers, and notifications if United Airlines can hold your connecting flight should your arrival be delayed. These features build upon United’s Connection Saver technology, giving customers full visibility of their connecting flights. During a spring beta test, over 350,000 customers utilized these new features, achieving a 98% success rate for making their connections.

American Airlines Expands Premium Economy Service to New York-Los Angeles Route
For travelers seeking extra comfort on trips between New York and Los Angeles, American Airlines will begin offering Premium Economy service on this transcontinental route starting in October. Passengers who select Premium Economy will benefit from priority check-in, security, and boarding. Once on board, they will receive a personal amenity kit. During the flight, customers can enjoy wider seats with additional legroom, complimentary drinks, and an enhanced meal service. Additionally, in-seat power will be available.

American Airlines Becomes First Airline to Pilot One Stop Security in the U.S.
American Airlines customers traveling from London Heathrow (LHR) and connecting through American Airline’s largest hub at Dallas Fort Worth (DFW), will be able to clear U.S. Customs right at the arrival gate. Customers will then be able to proceed directly to their connecting flight without reclaiming and rechecking their checked baggage or passing through TSA security. Check bags will we automatically transferred to the connecting flight. This program is in partnership with the TSA and U.S. Customs and Border Protection and is expected to cut the international connection time on this route in half.
