Southwest Airlines Announces New Fare Products and Rapid Rewards Benefits

Southwest Airlines will soon offer customers more choices, including seat selection and extra legroom, along with enhanced fare bundles that allow travelers to customize their trips.

The new fare products—Choice Extra, Choice Preferred, and Choice (formerly known as Business Select, Anytime, and Wanna Get Away Plus)—will be available for booking in the third quarter of 2025, as Southwest begins offering assigned and premium seating. Basic fares will be available for purchase starting May 28, 2025, with seat assignments valid for travel on or after January 1, 2026.

Southwest will also introduce additional mileage benefits for A-List and A-List Preferred tier members.

Delta, Uber, and Uber Eats

Delta SkyMiles members can now link their SkyMiles and Uber accounts by visiting delta.com/uber, allowing them to automatically earn miles on eligible rides and orders.

Members will earn:

  • 3 miles per eligible dollar spent on Uber Reserve trips

  • 2 miles per eligible dollar spent on premium rides

  • 1 mile per eligible dollar spent on UberX rides to or from the airport

  • 1 mile per eligible dollar spent on restaurant and grocery orders of $40 or more through Uber Eats

United Airlines and Archer Announce First Commercial Electric Air Taxi Route in Chicago

United Airlines and Archer have selected the route from O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to Vertiport Chicago as the next point-to-point connection in their urban air mobility network. This route will utilize Archer’s electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, offering a faster, more sustainable option for airport transportation.

This new form of travel to and from ORD is expected to launch later in 2025.

American Airlines to Launch New Premium Flagship Suite Seats

American Airlines will debut its new Flagship Suite this summer aboard the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The inaugural international flight featuring the new premium service will depart June 5, from Chicago (ORD) to London (LHR). Additional routes launching later this summer and fall include Philadelphia to London (PHL–LHR), Philadelphia to Zurich (PHL–ZRH), and Dallas/Fort Worth to Brisbane (DFW–BNE).

Flagship Suite customers will enjoy:

  • Priority check-in, security, boarding, and baggage handling

  • Access to American’s Flagship Lounge

  • Inflight service featuring multi-course meals, premium wines, and luxury amenity kits

American Airlines and DFW Airport Reveal Plans For State-Of-The-Art New Terminal

American Airlines and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport have announced updated plans for the highly anticipated Terminal F, which will be larger and more advanced than originally proposed. The new terminal will feature:

  • Double the number of gates

  • Expanded facilities to support international operations

  • Increased lounge and premium space

  • A redesigned customer check-in experience

  • A dedicated parking garage

Terminal F will open in phases beginning in 2027.

Delta Air Lines has revealed its annual list of the most searched summer destinations, based on data from Delta.com and the Fly Delta app.

This year’s top destinations include:
