Join Fox World Travel on this 10-day tour of Paris, Burgundy, Alsace and Champagne!  Start with a tour of Paris exploring historic neighborhoods to see where the locals live and shop.  Then journey through the villages, towns, and countryside that define the French way of life.  Travel through Burgundy, Alsace and Champagne, uncovering vine-covered slopes, colorful half-timbered streets and bustling local markets along the way. From cheesemakers and Champagne cellars to riverside walks and storybook squares, this is a France trip that captures the country’s charm, one village at a time.

Daily Itinerary

An exciting journey is ahead as we board our overnight flight at Chicago O’Hare to Paris, France.

Check into your hotel.  After settling in, you’ll join your Travel Director and fellow travelers for dinner – the perfect chance to get to know each other over classic French flavors.

Spend the morning in the company of a Local Specialist on a journey through the historic neighborhoods of Paris, to see where the locals live and shop. View the remarkable church of Saint-Sulpice, then enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Enjoy a leisurely cafe au lait in quiet surrounds or consider an Optional Experience to the opulent Palace of Versailles. Tonight, take in the city with a cruise along the Seine. Passing under historic bridges whilst discovering the charm of Île de la Cité and Île Saint-Louis, two of the river’s famous islands.

Hotel: Renaissance Hotel Paris La Defense or similar

Follow the story of Joan of Arc and her role in the city’s siege as you explore Orléans at your own pace, visit the medieval center or browse the local boutiques. In Bourges, join a guided walking tour and visit two of its most impressive landmarks – the UNESCO-listed Cathédrale Saint Étienne and the 15th-century Palais Jacques Coeur. If you’re looking for something special this evening, you can choose an Optional Experience that includes a regional dinner and Nuits Lumière, where the city’s historic buildings are lit up in a spectacular open-air show (subject to the event taking place).

Travel through the Bourbonnais countryside, where vineyards and fortified villages shape the landscape. Stop at Château de Vieux Chambord for a Be My Guest experience hosted by Marie and Stéphane Devaulx de Chambord (subject to availability). Set within their 14th-century family estate, you’ll learn about the château’s history and everyday life in rural Burgundy, followed by lunch served in one of the original towers. Later, continue to Beaune, the wine capital of the region. Join your Travel Director for a walk through the historic town center, known for its colorful rooftops and medieval streets. Visit the Hôtel-Dieu and explore one of Burgundy’s best-known landmarks, a former hospital with a legacy that spans centuries

Join your Travel Director in the mustard capital of France for an orientation of Dijon’s historic center, where elegant streets, timber-framed buildings and local delicacies come together. On market day, visit Les Halles – the covered market designed by Gustave Eiffel – and see Burgundy’s food culture in full swing. Then Dive into Culture at the Moutarderie Fallot to learn how mustard is made and enjoy a tasting of unique flavors (subject to availability; guests may need to be split into smaller groups depending on final group size). Spend the afternoon as you please before returning to Beaune.

Visit La Citadelle de Besançon, a UNESCO-listed fortress designed by Vauban, with panoramic views and exhibitionsthat explore its military legacy.

In Colmar, your Travel Director leads a walking orientation through canal-lined streets and colorful timber-framed houses. In Strasbourg, explore a city where you’ll see both French and German influences – from its open squares and historic center to the architecture that reflects its blended past.

Explore the city with a Local Specialist on a guided walk through the city’s historic center. Visit Strasbourg Cathedral, stroll through Petite France and see central landmarks like Place Kléber, each offering a glimpse into the city’s unique character.

As part of your MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience, you’ll stop in at Cafe Joyeux, where your visit helps champion equal access to employment through hospitality training (subject to availability). The afternoon is yours to explore further or relax. In the evening, join an Optional Experience to enjoy a regional dining experience featuring classic Alsatian dishes in a welcoming local setting.

Travel to Metz, where you can take in the cathedral and explore the city’s historic center. Continue into the Champagne region and arrive in Épernay for a tasting of the drink that made the region world-famous. In Hautvillers, stop to see the statue of Dom Pérignon, the monk whose name lives on through one of Champagne’s most prestigious labels. The day ends in Reims, where you’ll gather with your Travel Director and fellow travelers for a final dinner, toasting to the journey through Paris, the French countryside and villages.

Visit a cheese dairy in Meaux and Dive into Culture as you learn how Brie de Meaux is made using traditional methods. Enjoy time to explore the local farmers’ market, where stalls are filled with fresh produce and regional specialties.

Back in Paris, spend the afternoon your way, you might explore landmarks like the Eiffel Tower or Montmartre, or join an Optional Experience to Fragonard Perfumery for a guided tour and fragrance workshop. In the evening, another Optional Experience invites you to enjoy dinner and a Parisian cabaret show: a lively night out filled with music, movement and classic French flair.

So, it’s “adieu Paris,” and farewell to your Travel Director and fellow travelers who’ve shared this journey through France. Transfer as a group to the airport.

Requirements: Valid US passport is necessary with a minimum validity of 6 months from return date

Activity Level 3 – Active

Ideal for curious, on-the-go travelers who want to experience as much as possible. Days may be full with early starts, longer walking tours, and extended periods of standing—up to three hours at a time. Expect to cover up to four miles a day on varied terrain such as hills, cobblestones, and uneven streets, and be prepared to climb at least three to five flights of stairs, sometimes without handrails. Travelers should be comfortable boarding different modes of transportation.

Fox Professional Fee: Package price includes a $50.00 non-refundable Professional Fee per reservation. Fee will be charged at the time of deposit and will show as an additional payment from Fox World Travel.

Not Included: ETIAS Visa (when implemented), Airline flights on land-only packages, airline luggage fees if applicable, gratuities for airport porters, tour guides, motorcoach drivers, meals (other than those included in the package), optional excursions, travel insurance and any items of a personal nature.

Terms: A minimum number of travelers is required for the tour to operate and send a Fox World Travel tour manager to accompany the group. In the event the minimum number is not reached, the tour may still include a professional, local guide in destination. Hotels, experiences, and daily itinerary are subject to change.

Group Air: A minimum of 10 passengers is needed for the group air. Air is non-refundable after ticketing. Flights are currently pending. The air-inclusive package includes air that has not yet been assigned, the identity of the carrier, which may include the carrier`s code-share partner, will be assigned and disclosed at a later date. Price includes approximate air taxes and fees. Air package pricing is subject to change until contracted due to the volatility of airfare costs. Checked luggage fees may apply. Frequent Flier miles may not be available to group air travel. Pricing and flight options from other cities available upon request. Fox World Travel has no control over flight or equipment changes, seat assignments, delays, or cancellations. Airline tickets will be non-refundable once issued. Changes will be subject to a fee plus any fare difference. Additional restrictions may apply. Pricing and flight options from other cities available upon request

Insurance: For peace of mind, we recommend purchasing travel protection insurance. Your travel advisor can discuss options with you, including medical expense coverage, pre-existing medical condition exclusion waivers, trip cancellation, trip delay, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage and more. To cover pre-existing conditions, most policies must be purchased within 14 days of making your initial deposit. Travel protection insurance prices are based on your age and the trip cost.

Cancellation Penalties: 

From date of deposit to May 27, 2027: Initial Deposit + Fox World Travel Professional fee

May 28, 2027 to June 23, 2027: 50% Penalty + Applicable Air Fees

June 24, 2027 to July 22, 2027: 75% Penalty + Applicable Air Fees

July 23, 2027 to Date of Departure: 100% Penalty

Fox World Cancellation Fee of $100.00 per reservation will apply in addition to any Fox Group Vacation or vendor cancellation penalties. Air tickets are non-refundable once ticketed.

RESPONSIBILITY: We and any sponsoring organizations act only as agent for the suppliers of travel services such as airlines, hotels, car rental companies, tour operators, restaurants, sightseeing companies, entertainment providers, and cruise lines (the “Suppliers”). We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of the Suppliers that cause losses or damages arising from physical or emotional injury, property or other economic damage, consequential damages, or monetary losses, or arising from any other causes beyond our control. We reserve the right to make any changes in the itinerary deemed necessary, and also the right to decline or retain any person as a member of the Trip. If you choose to arrange your own transportation for any portion of the Trip, we are not responsible for any arrangements or associated costs should there be a change in date that requires changes or cancellation to transportation arranged by you. We are not responsible should there be any changes with vacation hosts, tour managers, or entertainment. You grant to FWT and its designated agents the right to acquire and use the audio, photographic, video and other portrayals of your image, likeness, and voice in any medium of any nature whatsoever, including the Internet, for the purpose of trade, advertising, sales, publicity or otherwise, without compensation.

We will make reasonable attempts to accommodate the special needs of disabled travelers, but we are not responsible in the event we are unable to do so nor are we responsible for any denial of services by Suppliers. The American with Disabilities Act is only applicable within the United States and facilities for disabled individuals are limited outside its borders. Most transportation services, including a touring motor coach, are not equipped with wheelchair ramps. We regret we cannot provide individual assistance to a vacation participant for walking, dining, getting on and off motor coaches and other vehicles, or other personal needs. A qualified and physically able companion must accompany travelers who need such assistance and must assume full responsibility for their well-being. Motorized scooters are unsuitable for most vacations.

We have no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of the Suppliers, unsafe conditions, health hazards, weather hazards, or climate extremes at locations to which you may travel. For information concerning possible dangers at destinations, we recommend contacting the Travel Warnings Section of the U.S. State Department at (202) 647-5225 or www.travel.state.gov. For medical information, we recommend contacting the Centers for Disease Control at (877) FYI-TRIP or www.cdc.gov/travel. You assume full and complete responsibility for checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of your destination(s), and all conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and labor or civil unrest at such destination(s). You hereby release us from all claims arising out of any problem covered in this paragraph. You agree that the courts in Winnebago County, Wisconsin will be the exclusive jurisdiction for all claims brought by you or us, and you hereby submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

We work vigilantly with the Suppliers to maintain integrity of the price you were originally quoted and placed on deposit. There may be certain circumstances where your vacation may be subject to a price increase prior to full payment due to a supplier or government issued surcharge. Prices will not increase after you make full payment, except for charges resulting from increases in government-imposed taxes or fees, fuel surcharges, exchange fluctuations or any combinations of these. Fox World Travel will make a reasonable attempt to contact you prior to issuing charges.
