Department of Homeland Security to End “Shoes Off” Policy
All passengers traveling through domestic airports are now permitted to keep their shoes on while passing through TSA checkpoints. This change, announced by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, aims to significantly reduce wait times at TSA checkpoints. TSA will maintain a layered security approach, and passengers must still complete identity verification, Secure Flight vetting, and other necessary processes.

United Airlines Announces Good News at Newark Airport
The runway construction project at Newark Airport is now complete, and all runways are open. During Memorial Day weekend, Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) outperformed New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in on-time departures. Over the last two days of the weekend, EWR recorded the best on-time performance of any large airport in the country.

Delta Air Line’s Transformation at LaGuardia (LGA) Elevates Travel Experience
Delta Air Lines operates over 220 daily departures from LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and is the largest carrier at the airport. Terminal C has been fully modernized to provide excellent comfort and efficiency. The upgrades start at check-in, where TSA PreCheck Touchless ID is available for SkyMiles members who are enrolled in the TSA PreCheck program. Terminal C also offers a more inclusive experience, featuring a quiet sensory room, designated pet relief areas, and an interfaith chapel. Additionally, there is an outdoor Skydeck that offers stunning views of takeoffs and landings. Moreover, dining options have been upgraded. Local favorites available at LGA include Bubby’s, Chuko Ramen, and King David Tacos. Sit-down dining options now feature Calista Taverna, Sunday Supper, Eggy Weggy, and Essex Burger.
