A mojito is delicious anytime of the year, but summer came quick, and this cocktail is particularly refreshing during hot hot hot summer months. Originally from Cuba, it is no surprise that this tasty cocktail is still a favorite after 500 years – making it one of the oldest mixed drinks still consumed today!


Ingredients (makes one drink):

  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 lime
  • Fresh mint
  • ¼ cup white rum
  • 1 cup club soda
  • 1 cup crushed ice

How to make: Add sugar to 12 oz glass. Squeeze juice from 2 lime wedges. Drop the wedges. Add mint leaves. Muddle the sugar, lime juice and mint in the bottom of the glass. Fill glass half full of crushed ice. Pour ¼ cup white run into the glass. Fill glass with club soda, stir and garnish with addition lime wedges.


Aperol Spritz

Venice, Italy

A proper Aperol Spritz tastes like a relaxing summer evening and looks like the most perfect sunset. Need we say more? You will understand when you take your very first sip. Get to mixing!


Ingredients (makes one drink):

  • 2 parts of Aperol
  • 3 parts of prosecco
  • 1 splash of Sparkling water
  • Slice of orange
  • Ice

How to make: Add ice to the glass. Pour in prosecco, the Aperol and the sparkling water. Top with a slice of orange. Stir and Serve.


Pimm’s Cup

United Kingdom

The Pimm’s cup started out as a health drink in the United Kingdom, and it is no surprise why! This deliciously refreshing drink is filled with fresh fruit and basil leaves. If sweet is your thing than this may be your drink of the summer!

Ingredients (makes one drink):

  • ½ can lemon san pellegrino
  • ¼ cup Pimm’s no. 1
  • ¼ cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • ¼ cucumber, sliced
  • 2 strawberries, quartered
  • 2 basil leaves, torn
  • Lemon slices for garnish

How to make: In a pitcher, mix the Pellegrino, Pimm’s and lemon juice. Mix in cucumber, strawberries, and basil. Let stand for 10 minutes. Fill a 16 oz glass with ice and pour cocktail evenly over the ice. Garnish with lemon.


Piña Colada

Puerto Rico

If you like Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain… You should know this tropical drink is originally from Puerto Rico. Not only has the piña colada become the island’s national drink, but it has become a signature drink around the world! Ingredients (makes one drink):

  • ¾ cups ice
  • ¼ cup dices pineapple, frozen
  • 1 ounce pineapple juice
  • 1 ounce Coco Lopez coconut cream
  • ¾ ounce white rum
  • ½ ounce dark rum
  • Pineapple slices

How to make: Combine the ice, frozen pineapple, juice, coconut cream, white and dark rum into a blender. Pour the drink into a glass and garnish with pineapple slices.



New York City

A cosmopolitan was the drink of the 90s and continues to be a favorite even today! The delicious cocktail is a mixture of sweet and sour and is an elegant pre-dinner drink or perfect for an evening out with the girls (à la Carrie Bradshaw) – especially in New York City!

Ingredients (makes one drink):

  • 1 ½ ounce citrus vodka
  • 1 ounce Conintreau
  • ½ ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • ¼ ounce cranberry juice
  • Garnish: lime wedge

How to make: Add vodka, Cointreau, lime juice and cranberry juice to a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.
